We had a wonderful time at Marlie and Nico's house in Shelley Point. The house is located in a private estate with 24h security, so you feel very safe. The estate extends over almost the entire peninsula. There is a hotel with restaurants nearby, but everything is currently closed due to a fire. The house is spacious, the beds are comfortable (not too hard), the bathrooms are nice and bright. The installed inverter means that some lamps, the WiFi and the television remain active even during load shedding. There can be an ant problem in the kitchen, but with the appropriate chalk the problem is quickly solved. Thanks to Nico for the kind exchange. He took care of everything very well and gave valuable tips. We had booked at very short notice because we were unhappy in our previous accommodation, and so we were able to spend a few relaxing days in a fantastic place. Check out the Golden Mile Beach, the northern shore (mussels and lighthouse) and St. Helena Bay Nursery & Coffee Shop.

What a wonderful spot! We had everything we could possibly need and more. Hosts were superb, friendly, accommodating and so helpful! We will definitely be going back! 5 stars all round!

My family loved this place the min we arrived to the last. Such a cozy and private gateway. The steep staircase had me checking my small kids all the time though but over and above quite pristine. Restful and beautiful surroundings. Definitely will do it again. An oasis out there!

We’ve been to St Helena a few times, but this time our stay made us fall in love with the area even more. The property was in walking distance to the beach, and had everything we needed to have a great time. Not only for the adults, but the kids as well. They loved the loft bedroom, and the games. Most of all; the closest beach was less than 5 minutes walk, with views of Dolphins and seals every morning. Thanks Nico for your friendly response and recommendations. We’ll be back soon..
