自我介绍

We have lived in Parry Sound for the last 25 years. We were attracted to the Georgian Bay area out of a love for the unparalleled natural beauty of the Canadian Shield. Wind swept pines, crystal clear waters, big sky and 30,000 islands have created many opportunities for outdoor adventure at our doorstep. Both of us work in the health care industry and have been privileged to have travelled and worked in many settings around the world. We both feel however that the region of Muskoka is a very special place in which visitors may be refreshed and rejuvenated in a relatively short amount of time. We are both passionate about outdoor activities in all seasons and particularly enjoy road and mountain biking, hiking, sailing, kayaking, SUP boarding, XC and downhill skiing. We have spent many vacations cycling and sailing with friends. We have an eclectic taste in music and have come to appreciate the wide variety of performances at the nearby Stockey Center including the 'Festival of the Sound', one of Canada's foremost summer chamber music venues. We love to host family and friends and always look forward to stimulating conversations around a table laden with good food and wine. We place high value on family and although our children are now grown and living in different communities in Canada and Sweden, we maintain very strong ties and contact them regularly. We look forward to being grandparents some day soon! We are also strong community builders and have served in a variety of positions in our region. Rob coached basketball for many years at our local high school and Evi has mentored many young adolescents at a nearby summer camp ( Muskoka Woods Sports Resort) where we worked for many years. We have also worked in Central America and Kenya and continue to support these grass-roots organizations whose mandate is to provide care and hope to abandoned children and orphans. We have served at our local community church for many years. We advocate personal and corporate responsibilty for the care of our planet and to this end support efforts to promote 'green' initiatives. We have a small organic garden and have recently designed and built a beautiful yet highly efficient home. We hope to incorporate solar and wind energy in our home which is ideally oriented to harvest both. We feel very fortunate to live and work in such a magnificent setting and look forward to directing you to a great adventure on Georgian Bay!
