Gina went above and beyond to make my stay exactly the getaway I needed... warmly greeting me upon arrival, providing bubbles and incense for a relaxing bath, and serving me a 5-star breakfast. It was the perfect haven for this hippie. I left feeling pampered and restored. Highly recommended. The down comforter was the icing on the cake. I slept like a baby.

We really wanted to like this place, but it was a miss on so many levels. The airbnb is a small casita on a crowded and cluttered piece of land. There is no air conditioning and its more of a hostel stay as the toilet and bath are shared and not at all private. There is literally only a curtain dividing the bath and the rest of the house and tiles leading to the bath were caving in which is dangerous. There is no privacy in the casita as there are several windows with no coverings so all the people coming and going throughout the day can see in. There were several dogs loose on the property that barked at night. We also saw poisinous spiders several times in the bath and sleeping areas. There was dirt and dust in our bed. Lastly, the host has poor communication as she offered for us to use the sauna then said there was a leak that was discovered during the last stay. This is not a worth while or safe stay and I would not recommend it.

Gina was a wonderful host and this place was just what I wanted for a couple of days off the grid (albeit with internet coverage). This is a place meant for someone seeking to get away from the bustle of the city to unwind. Gina described it as rustic, and it was certainly simple, but also comfortable and met all my needs. Gina also provided a delicious breakfast and an option of other meals as well. This is a fantastic dark sky location; I stayed during a full moon, and a supermoon at that, but still got some great photos of the moon as well as sunset over the Sangre de Cristo mountains. the Rio Grande was close as well, and it was a short drive to Taos. Do note that the roads are not easy for a smaller car. My Prius C struggled to get in and out from the main roads. The shorter route to Gina's place was simply impossible in anything less than an SUV. Not in the host's control but something to keep in mind all the same

The place was a little hard to find, so look for the school bus! My GPS missed it by a 1/2 mile. Place is true, honest New Mexico. The family was welcoming and friendly. It won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but we found it to be perfect for our needs and everyone there was super friendly and accommodating! It is rustic (which we loved!) so if you’re looking for a 5-Star hotel, move along. If your looking for real nice people and want to see what real New Mexico is all about, Gina is warm and friendly and we had a great time with her family and friends (and their doggies too!). I can’t say enough about how NICE everyone was, and the night skies simply don’t get any better. I stood outside our room in the middle of the night and viewed a spectacular night sky and the Milky Way with the naked eye. We will reach out to her again next time we visit. Thank you Gina and family!
