When we checked in there was dead cockroaches in the bathroom and floor. I complained to Lex's helper and when we came back the dead cockroaches were still there. I tried to make coffee and there was insects crawling around inside. Lex moved us to a different apartment and it was good until the faucet started leaking. I graciously diagnosed what was wrong with the faucet because I own a plumbing company. Instead of Lex being grateful, he blamed us of breaking his faucet. He said the faucet was fine before we occupied the apartment. Unbelievable! If you book his place and something breaks, expect that the owner will blame you for it. He also refused to hire a plumber saying plumbers don't work on weekends. After I complained to him he made subtle threats to move us back to the filthy apartment. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE! YOU WILL REGRET IT.. There is dog poop up and down his driveway. Also his place doesn't match the photos. His place looks dilapidated. Also his place is far from the city.
a beautiful and peaceful little gem of a spot. hosts were amazing and very proactive. even went out to the street to take pictures of the streets to ensure our safe and timely arrival. there's fresh fruit and things like avocado and papaya growing on their property and they allowed me to enjoy some of the fruits. the place itself is about 7 minutes away from Burnham Park by taxi and there's sari stores everywhere around. perfect location away from the noise and pollution of the main city, but close enough to enjoy everything the city has to offer! highly recommended!
If you don't have a vehicle, this location is not super convenient. There is one good breakfast restaurant within walking distance, and no supermarket anywhere close. The apartment has decent wifi, but no television.
Foremost, Lex was super helpful from the very beginning. Had small issues about bringing our fur babies so we had to reschedule. Lex was kind enough to assist us in the process. My husband and I wanted a quick respite from work and Lex's place gave us exactly that. The area is not too far frm the center, but secluded enough to have your privacy. The view from the terrace is breathtaking. my husband and I ended up with wine, cheese and some bbq (just ask for the bbq grill from Lex). It was a perfect spot to relax and unwind. Lex was so gracious to offer us his recommendations on where to buy our wine. He even provided us with wine glasses and extra herb tea bags. I feel like Lex can provide all the answers to your queries and is very responsive too. We had to wait a few hours though before we were able to check in since previous tenants checked out a little late. Lex had to make sure the house was spotless prior to our arrival. All in all, we had a quiet and relaxing time at Lex's. 👍

Hi. I'm Lex, a Canadian expat now living in Baguio after having travelled in Europe, Americas and South-East Asia. I fell in-love with Baguio 7 years ago because of its climate, small town feel but big city amenities, and importantly its proximity to beaches. I'm quite open and generous with stories so feel free to ask about the nooks of this city. During this pandemic and lockdown period, we not only became more garden oriented but also it deepened my affection for the natural aspects of décor and slowly my personal tastes shifted from rustic industrial which I still love towards wabi-sabi and certainly my listings will reflect such changes. We will continue to add amenities to our listings and promise to strive to offer you a seamless stay certainly hoping that we could share our little slice of the mountain living that would not just rejuvenate you but that you'd want to come back to.
