Check in was smooth and easy by the ferry, but upon arriving to the place it was not as expected. There was a noticable smell in the unit, and parking was unclear. The doors had numbers on them but you need to be on foot to spot these. Pool was unusable and we also noticed bird droppings around the unit (including on a plate in the cupboard). The ac works great and staff were nice, would not stay at this specific place again, perhaps another one of Best of Magnetic’s locations. Bear in mind there is no wifi or cell service at the unit. Also could not find the listed washing machine on site.

The apt was comfy and well equipped for two people. The location was lovely with Alma bay just a walk from there and a bus stop just a block from the house. I suggest pre planning meals and take groceries beforehand if not going by car cause buses are a bit inconsistent.

Thanks for the lift from the ferry to the unit. Staff were friendly and efficient in a busy office. Meals at the local RSL were a highlight and public transport was easily accessed and economical. Only one airconditioning unit so it struggled with summer temperatures. Magnetic Island has a real laid back charm..we’ll be back.
