We recommend visiting the Clarksville Chamber of Commerce site for events. Retreat is located on property that was once part of an 18th century plantation. Come recharge and relax at this tranquil location. Enjoy a good nights’ sleep, then we encourage you to start your day off drinking coffee on the back deck or front porch, while being serenaded by several different species of birds, watch the squirrels and their silly antics and enjoy the slowed down country life. There are several nearby places to launch kayaks and boats in the area. Bluestone is closest, about 1 1/2 miles away-Occoneechee Park-3 miles. You can make arrangements for a local massage; private kayak lessons and tour or, about 45 minutes away, book an afternoon tea. Depending on time of year, car shows in Oxford and car racing in South Boston, either one, about 30 minutes away. Virginia Raceway in Alton, is approximately 50 miles away. After your day on the lake or exploring the area, head back for showers, kick back and relax, or head out to one of the local breweries, wineries, restaurants or other festivals/events that might be going on.
