自我介绍

I was raised in Enumclaw and spent most of my childhood years in the area. I always loved to spend time with my mother and grandparents because we cooked and canned and spent time working the land together even as a youth who probably complained about chores I did value these things more and more growing up. Farmer Steve and I live here now he is retired from Boeing and spends all his time growing supieor food for local families on the plateau. We grow and sell food here and at the local farmers market May to October. In the winter months he plans all the growing season and preps the beds and soils for the next season. You are welcome to enjoy the farm and ask questions if you have an interest in growing food, Farmer Steve is a great teacher and has been growing food since the early 80's. The farm house is on 9 acres just 3 miles outside of town. I have spent much of my life raising 3 children and working in the aerospace industry. I am now raising my youngest daughter here on the farm, she is now 18 and off to college. I work part time driving bus at the local school district. All of the years I lived in the city, I always remembered the joy of living in the rural town of Enumclaw and all of the things i remember about working and living in the country. I relocated back to this town in 2010. Over a period of three years, I developed the property into what is now The Mason Jar Farm. The farm grows produce for families we are just a good old fashion produce stand where you can walk up and get fresh seasonal produce like lettuce, beans, squash, tomatoes, potatoes, herbs, cucumbers and even fruit in the late summer season. We are open June thru September for produce and Open Farm Friday’s and Saturdays. I have always loved working with and teaching children, especially about where their food comes from and a bit of old fashion work ethic, something I feel we are loosing quickly in our youth. The Mason Jar Farm hosts our outdoor play here for children with a local group on Tuesdays. I love to meet new people and share the farm with them so I look forward to hosting you at our peaceful and quiet homestead. I enjoy accommodating your visit if you have children we have a farm fit for kids and adults and animals that love to interact with you as well if you choose to.
