A good two bed apartment on a low floor in a high rise block on a large offshore island 25 minutes by fast ferry to the centre of Hong Kong. I really like the area, perhaps I am biased as I lived in Discovery Bay for 8 years! You get much more space here for your money than on Hong Kong or Kowloon, and in the right season the hill walking is outstanding. For business it works well as the ferry drops you in Central right by the MTR metro railway for the rest of Hong Kong, for tourism also for the same reason. Estelle's unit is the way AirBnB started out, it is her home and you feel the warmth of the lived in surroundings, unlike the commercial flats run by corporations which can be cold and impersonal like a cheap hotel. I would certainly return if I need a place in Hong Kong again.

My son & I stayed at Estelle's place for 3 weeks. The location is convenient & short walk from DB plaza and the ferry terminal. We had a comfortable stay overall and would potentially stay again. HK accommodation is not cheap and the price Estelle charged reflects this, though I don't think this represents the best value for money. However, Estelle's apartment was in a perfect location for us, which is why I decided to pay a premium this time.
