HYGGE (pronounced as "hoo-guh") is a Danish word that describes a mood of coziness, connection, and contentment. The moment you come to Lumen and enter Cabin Hygge, we hope you will feel just that. Everything you need to be comfortable and cozy -- nothing you don't. It is the perfect setting for you to spend quality time with your family or friends in a gorgeous, peaceful natural environment. Our Nordic inspired Cabin HYGGE provides you with a bedroom-in-nature concept featuring a full-wall window, cozy fireplace and a relaxation nook, full kitchenette, along with a luxury, hotel-quality queen bed and a loft bed. Within just a 2-3 minute walk, you’ll have access to our just-renovated, climate-controlled bathhouse with designer finishes, high-end toiletries, hot showers, and everything you need for your comfort while you’re staying with us. At Lumen, we’ve wanted to design a magical experience – combining the peace and enjoyment of spending time in nature, sitting around the fire with your friends or family, and falling asleep to a million stars above you, while at the same time, offering the comfort of a boutique hotel. Every detail is handled and you don’t need to bring a thing other than yourself and your group.

I had a pleasant day at Lumen, it is a beautiful cabin. Some minor drawbacks: cabins are pretty close together, so keep that in mind. Depending on where you are located, the bathhouse might be a far walk as well. Make sure to bring shower shoes I am so glad I brought mine! There isn’t Wi-Fi available totally yet despite the listing saying that there’s Wi-Fi, but I was able to make do. No sink in the cabin, another thing to consider. I wish there were tiki torches to draw away the bugs because they really hover at the steps/entrance of the cabin. Lastly I wish there was a mini dock if you wanted to go into the brook to dip your toes in, I think that would be an excellent touch. That being said, the bed is comfy, the view is gorgeous, and being in New Hampshire is so peaceful. They answered my questions promptly and I was very comfortable in the cabin. It is by far the most gorgeous one I’ve been to yet. Even with these considerations, I would definitely come back!
What an adorable and cozy place to disconnect from the world. Didn’t think it was possible to feel like I was back in CPH in NH. What an unforgettable experience.

I almost wanted to leave a bad review so people aren't incentivized to lumen but I won't because this is truly a wonderful space and they deserve a great review. Lumen was amazing - from the location to the amenities to the smallest details, it's all there. I loved my cabin, it was right on the water and sitting outside with a coffee in the morning listening to the water was so idyllic. Bathrooms were very nice given you're in the middle of the woods, never too crowded, always clean when I went in. They were also very close to my cabin. I booked the nordic spa at night and had to kick people out who tried to go without a reservation, but the spa was lovely AND right across from my campsite so it perfect. My friend burned themselves a bit putting water over the coils, but that may have been user error. My only complaint was that there were quite a few dead bug parts on the upper bunk when I first went inside, so not sure if beds are checked right before guests check in.

We are located in beautiful North Woodstock in the heart of the White Mountains.
There are tons of activities to do in the area – from fun family-focused ones to romantic couple ones. And, of course, this area is well known for its nature, hiking, biking, waterfalls, and everything in between. Hang out by your tent or go out and explore – either way, you’ll have a fantastic time.
We’re also just 8 minutes away from the Lincoln/Woodstock area with tons of restaurants, bars, and a supermarket shall you need anything.
Please note and be mindful of our neighbors on the other side of the pond.
A vehicle is definitely needed to get around. There are very limited Uber/Lyft options in the area (if at all), so please plan accordingly.
