Ana was incredibly friendly, meeting us upon checking with a basket of local goods. She shared about the home and a bit of cultural history. She shared local restaurants and things to do while we were in town. This was the perfect accommodation, down the street from the water and not a far drive from local trails. 10/10 would recommend to other travelers! We’d love to return!

Ana welcomed us personally and treated us to a welcome basket filled with local treats . She answered all my questions and was quick to respond. What a beautiful authentic home filled with antiques. We loved the view, the gardens and the village. We would love to return!

Villa Paz is located in a peaceful and remote village with great ocean views from outside the front of the house. Very nice short walk to a viewpoint that we had to ourselves most of the time. Lots of verdant pastures and grazing cattle! Although there was a space heater provided, we were quite cold there so limited our time at the house to mostly sleeping. The house is clean, but we were disappointed that the showerhead was broken and the washing machine also didn’t work. Hot water was intermittent for us but hopefully that’s not always the case. I found the three beds upstairs very uncomfortable, but maybe that’s just me! If you need to work, there are very few electrical outlets FYI. Ana is a responsive host and lives in Ponta Delgada. There is no lockbox to enter the house, so you need to give a time to meet her. If you are arriving to the island on same day you meet her, it would be convenient, but for us it broke up our plans that day a bit since we were already on our trip.

Ana & Luis were phenomenal hosts. The fireplace and the BBQ grill were such great added bonuses. We felt so at home. The house brought back memories of what we grew up with. We appreciated the surroundings as well as the property. We would highly recommend this place for families and couples. We hope that we come back soon. Fernando DaSilva Canada

We absolutely loved our stay! This place is stunning, with a spacious house in a tranquil neighborhood. The amenities in the house had everything we needed. The host is the sweetest person, who personally welcomed us – an amazing woman!
