Elyse’s place is exactly as described and matched the pictures to a T. The neighbors were super friendly and the neighborhood is fairly clean. There is a 24HR food truck on the corner across from the gas station that was super convenient to grab a quick bite. To eat. This is a beautiful unit and I would definitely book again.

The home is lovely. You can tell it's newly renovated. Cypress Hills is quiet and about 8 minutes to the J train. Lots of local bodegas to get basic necessities, fresh juices & smoothies. Overall, a nice stay if you plan to be local to the area. The host was responsive and (relatively) accommodating. However, here are some things that stood out: 1)LONG commute to Manhattan (~50-85 mins). The area is suburban: nothing to do or explore unless you commute into central / W Brooklyn (~ 30 mins). 2)Checked in & immediately noticed the carpet/couch weren't vacuumed. Lots of pet hair? The bathroom towels had black & brown stains - guessing it was makeup from the previous guest. That was jarring and unexpected. 3)Bed frame wasn't sturdy at all. The frame fell apart every time we'd try to fix it. Didn't sleep well much of the trip / had some aches because of the constantly sinking frame. 4)Clogged shower drain for half our stay and the host couldn't get someone to check on it until we left.
