No cleaning fees on short-term stays! In this nature-lovers haven, the downstairs of this soundproofed, 2-story townhouse, holds the kitchen with basic equipment, the bathroom, and a living room area. The screened porch, off the living room, gives you escape from the State Bird (the mosquito) when they are around and lets you enjoy the sunset, the view, and a firetable . Upstairs has a king-sized and a queen-sized bed, a desk area, and a sitting area where you can relax and enjoy the view of the Chugach mountain range. Dog-friendly (2 dogs max). Cleanliness is important to us, so we follow AirBnB's 5 step cleaning process plus inspect our properties when cleaning is finished to offer you the best experience. Smoking or 420 outside (only) is fine with us. For longer stays, we provide *starter* paper goods. There is a washer and dryer in unit.
This place was perfect for our family. The view was beautiful, the place was clean, George was an excellent communicator, their dogs were such sweet good ole boys that loved on our kids and our dogs. I would highly recommend this place to anyone, especially if you want to get out of town. Such a beautiful spot!
We had a fabulous stay! Typically we stay in the couple cabins. This time we stayed in the Sweet Dog Mushing Iditarod Dreams with our couple friends! It was wonderful. beautiful scenery, plenty of space and it was clean and comfortable. We will stay their again! Love this area and so appreciate George and Terriann!
If you are looking for a quiet and scenic place, a place where you can get lost in the scenery and stillness of the surroundings then this is it. You’ll definitely get the whole Alaska feel and could learn a lot about dog sledding within the local community, and many of the things to do in Wasilla, Palmer, and Anchorage. Definitely recommend this place. Note: the path to get to the place can be bumpy so make sure your vehicle is good for pot holes and gravel, or frost heaves as the seasons change. Nothing crazy though. One last thing, George and Terriann have been one of the best communicators that I have encountered using Airbnb and definitely are excellent hosts.
Lovely accommodations! We really enjoyed the screened in porch. Perfect peaceful location near Big Lake. We would definitely stay there again.

George and Terriann were high school sweethearts meeting in the gym while playing sports. George says "it was a romance made in the locker room". They married after graduation and after 9 children and 14 grandchildren, have been together for over 45 years! They left the U.S. East Coast over 25 years ago to run sled dogs and build a life in beautiful Alaska. While no longer mushing dogs, they still enjoy the Alaska life and scenery while hosting guests for AirBnB, taking care of their grandchildren, and kayaking traveling, and hiking when ever they can.
