Beautiful old bungalow in Kalutara. Loads of space inside, a large garden and a huge veranda overlooking the river. Don't expect sparkling, modern facilities - the bathrooms and kitchens are very basic - but this is a house with a history. We enjoyed staying there.

A picture perfect location by the river very close to Kalutara town. You can't swim in the river but the beaches to swim are not far away. A spacious house with a large varendah and a lovely garden overlooking the river to relax in. It is always breezy, keeping you cool when it is pretty warm outside. We spent all our waking hours out there, not inside the house. The house is well equipped to prepare your own meals and many shops are nearby to purchase whatever you need. There are lots of tuk tuks to get around and the town centre is very close to catch a bus or a train. With the expressway it is easier to get to Kalutara.
