Other Things to Note The entire property (including various ponds) is 55.55 acres. There is another home on the property and a camper. We own the entire property. There is plenty of privacy for both homes and camper and the only guest interaction might happen in the shared long driveway into the property. Otherwise, both homes are very private. OUTSIDE PARK-STYLE CHARCOAL GRILL We have a park style charcoal grill and have a picnic table outside. INSIDE ELECTRIC FIREPLACE The electric fireplace provides additional heat and ambiance on cold winter nights. The fireplace can also be used without heat (just ambiance lighting) the rest of the year. OUTSIDE FIRE PIT We have a firepit area outside the home in the back. BACK PORCH There is a nice back porch in the back side of the home. Perfect for having your morning coffee while you listen to the birds sing. THE HOUSE You will have the entire recently renovated and tastefully decorated 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms home. The house does have stairs to enter so you must be able to climb stairs. The kitchen is equipped with all the basics to cook including cooking oil, spices, baking soda/baking powder, salt & pepper and other seasonings. The kitchen is well stocked with all the usual cooking instruments and utensils like a microwave plus a few more like waffle maker, beater, full size blender, toaster oven, small air fryer. There is a laundry room with free reasonable washer and dryer use included. Complimentary bottled water, coffee, assorted tea and accompaniments are provided for your enjoyment. The property is approximately a 5 minutes drive to downtown Mayo and is located on a paved road. Mayo is a very quiet, safe and welcoming very small town with one of the lowest population densities in the entire state and no traffic. There is very little light pollution at night allowing for amazing starry nights on clear nights. The house is best suited for groups of 9 people or less, preferably a combination of adults and children that can use the bunk beds without any issues. The queen size bed in the master bedroom easily accommodates 2 adults, the secondary bedrooms include one bedroom that has a queen size bed that can accommodate up to 2 adults, the third bedroom has a twin over full bunk bed, and the fourth bedroom that has a twin over twin bunk bed suited for smaller children. The house is also very spacious and you would have no problem finding a spot to put up an air mattress, if needed. Easy drive to other interesting cities. The property is located approximately 25 minutes drive from Live Oak, FL; 50 minutes from Lake City, FL; 30 minutes from Madison, FL (quaint town reminiscent of a Hallmark movie town); 1.25 hrs to Gainesville, FL. Valdosta, GA is about an hour away (take a day trip to Wild Adventures amusement park in Valdosta, GA). The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak is only approx. 33 miles away. Go to Steinhatchee on the Gulf, an easy drive away, for deep sea fishing +fresh seafood. Tallahassee is less approx. 1.5 hours car drive away.
