What a beautiful place! I didn't expect the guesthouse to be so remote and right overlooking the beautiful river. Falling asleep to the sound of the river was amazing! Nice to be away from traffic sounds! The room was basic but clean and nice. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The only thing was that we didn't expect the lodge to be so far off the main road. The road up to it was pretty bad - not easy for a regular car / taxi to get up. Luckily Paul gave us the number for Miguel, who drove us up in his 4X4 truck for $150 Q. Would have been nice to know this in advance. But it was totally worth it once we got there!
An absolute dreamplace. It is the perfect spot to relax, enjoy nature, do trekking, go tubing and learn about this maya community. The sound of the river was our favorite lullaby. We recommend you to stay here and enjoy this place at its fullest. Thanks so much to all the staff who make this stay an unforgettable experience. Everyone is just trying to make your stay as comfortable and nice as possible. It was our pleasure to spend some days at the lodge and get to know so lovely, friendly and helpful people. The food offered at the restaurant is delicious. It was possible for us to reach the place thanks to Miguel, who picked us up at the bus stop, since we had big backpacks.
