Our silo guesthouse provides a beautiful country retreat surrounded by hundreds of acres of woods and farm land. This working dairy farm is the perfect stay for a tranquil get away or the full dairy farm experience. If you’re looking for a CLEAN, peaceful & unique stay, this is the place for you! Recent guests say it’s the “hidden gem” of MN! Just 10-30 minutes from local coffee shops, restaurants, and many outdoor activities, this getaway has something for everyone! This farmhouse style renovated guesthouse sits on the top level of a Harvestore silo. The bottom floor of the silo is used as a farm store for raw milk and meat sales once a week. The upstairs guesthouse is fully furnished with sleeping accommodations for 4 (sleeper sofa and loft bed), full bathroom, fireplace, internet, smart tv and kitchenette. Please note that the loft bed has a “cozy” head clearance. ;) Guests still give it 5 stars though! :)

We LOVED this place, and the people who own it. Elisabeth and her husband were so welcoming and took the time to welcome us and visit talk about the area and their farm. The silo was beautiful. It has a brand-new feel to it. The amenities felt high end. It was super clean, which is important to us. We were able to sleep with the windows wide open and enjoyed waking to the birds and life on the farm. The location and ambiance of the farm was fantastic. We were in the area to visit the Amish greenhouses and enjoy the wonderful scenery of SE Minnesota. We highly recommend the area, whether it is shopping boutiques, greenhouses, state parks, etc. You'll find lots to do. BONUS - we were super excited to enjoy the northern lights while we were there. We simply drove out the driveway and parked in a field approach. So fun!! Thank you for allowing us to visit your lovely farm. We had a wonderful trip and look forward to returning in the future.
Our stay in the silo was a unique, fun and pleasant surprise! My husband surprised me with a few days away for our anniversary. The silo was a wonderful place to stay and we will remember our stay fondly. The rolling country hills surrounding the farm were beautiful, the farm was neat and tidy, the silo apartment nicely decorated and the family was warm and welcoming. This was a fun way to see a working farm. The fresh lilacs and baked cookies were the icing on the cake! Thanks for a wonderful experience! Dawn and Randy

Wow! A perfect place to relax! The Silo was absolutely gorgeous with all the ammenities. The loft matress was extremely comfortable! Even though this was a working farm you would not have known. We slept right through the early morning chores. The sunset from our balcony could not have been more gorgeous. Elisabeth was an amazing host and very responsive! She provided us with suggestions of places to go to eat and hike! We would definitely recommend the Silo as a place to stay and the next time we come to the area we will return to the Silo!
Really a neat experience. The farm animals are neat. I grew up with cows, but haven't been around cows in decades, so I liked having cows around.

The silo loft is located on a gravel road just one mile from from Beaver Creek State Park which has miles of beautiful hiking trails and a fresh water spring.
Within 10 minutes of the farm, there is a newly renovated bakery, a coffee shop, a grocery store and several restaurants.
Within 30 min of the farm, there are MANY attractions of various kinds from golfing, cave exploration, coffee roasters, Amish tours, movie theaters, nature hikes and much more.
Enjoy bluff-top sunset views from our .5 mile long driveway.
