High Ground Cottage - perfect eco-aware accommodation for your family holiday in the Snowy Mountains all year round. Located on High Ground Estate, a 147-acre property, we are only 10 minutes out of town, but a world away. Our nightly prices are inclusive of Airbnb fees so you know the total amount you are paying per night with no hidden costs. Views in every direction, whatever season, High Ground Cottage is designed to look after you. Superbly insulated, with a full kitchen, open living and dining area, and three bedrooms that accommodate King beds or twin singles, it's versatile too. High Ground Cottage is an eco-friendly off-grid property. It's the perfect place for your family holiday. The cottage, and our main homestead, are both powered from an off-grid solar energy system. The appliances and comforts in the Cottage are all energy efficient and superbly effective in making your stay extremely comfortable. We ask that you are aware of this and are respectful in your energy and water consumption with some simple awareness, eg. run the washing machine during the day, switch unnecessary lights off and limit long showers to assist in conserving these resources. Fully fenced yard Pet friendly (outdoors only in fully fenced yard. No unaccompanied pets allowed inside (eg no pets left alone inside)) Pet fees apply. Full bath in the bathroom, plus shower Drying space for snow gear On the property, we have a friendly resident Alaskan Malamute Sullivan aka "Sully", miniature goats and alpacas. We also have chickens coming in early August 2023. The property is an alpine safari with frequent viewings of deer, kangaroos, wombats, horses, rabbits, birds and much more. Bedrooms are available as follows: Bedroom 1 - King Bed Bedroom 2 - 2 x long singles Bedroom 3 - King Bed The standard set up is for King, twin, King across the 3 rooms. If you would like something different to this then ideally please advise when booking, otherwise please give us at least 48hrs notice prior to your arrival day so that we can make changes when preparing the Cottage for your arrival. Please note - All pets must be booked in to stay at the cottage. Please add them when making your booking. Pet fees apply to cover additional cleaning and wear and tear. Please don't sneak your pet in and let us know they are coming by booking them in. Rules for pets on the property and in the cottage Your pet is your responsibility during your stay and should only be inside accompanied. Please make sure your pets are in the outdoors secure area if you are out for the day (eg at the snowfields). Please ensure to clean up after your pet with dog bags and take your dog for a walk on a lead for wildlife, farm animals and pet safety. Please make sure that pets don't jump on the beds or furniture during your stay.
