There is old flagstone flooring throughout the living space, and low ceilings as it is an old property with lots of character - that we love! Daisy was really responsive and helpful. The cottage is delightful and remarkably spacious- took a while to warm up after our arrival but once we got it going it was snug. Kitchen utensils a bit basic for self cooking but mentioned this to Daisy who I’m sure will respond positively. The village is lovely and great location. Thankyou for a great short break.
Stanton is probably one of the prettiest and idyllic villages in the whole of the Cotswolds. Little changed in 300 years it nestles beneath the slopes of Shenbarrow Hill. It has a very pleasing long main street with several delightful corners where the ancient house are built in typical Cotswolds style with steeply pitched gables, mullioned windows and glowing honey coloured limestone walls.
Parking available directly outside of house, on the opposite side of the road, or free parking just a few minutes walk. Please be mindful of neighbours and don't block their drive or access. There is no shop within a walking distance, however there is a pub and Stanton village club which hosts live music.
