Deborah was very attentive, months before our trip. She checked with me to make sure our trailer could fit down the driveway. The house was very clean and very comfortable. It was a unique experience staying on the St. Lawrence River and looking at Canada on the other side. We are planning on staying next year for our annual trip to the area.

This place is in its first year on Airbnb, so not a lot of reviews. My review is intended to share some specifics. Location Really depends on what you are looking for. This is rural north country NY. So don't expect to walk over fancy restaurant. But if you are looking for a peaceful getaway with your partner, family or friends. This place won't let you down. Gorgeous views of St. Lawrence River from the deck. Home Simple, yet beautiful and functional design. Treat for anyone who loves log cabins or wooden interiors. Clean and provides pretty much anything you'll need for your vacation. Host New to Airbnb, but certain to be a super host in the future. Responsive, helpful, understanding and had clear instructions. Overall, if you are looking for a peaceful getaway in the Thousand Islands region, I would absolutely recommend this hidden gem.

The place itself was cute and homey. Loved the River access and view and the large windows. However, it was very difficult to find as the road was not marked nor the house numbers. Overgrown bushes which came dangerously close to scratching my car. Overgrown landscaping. The jacuzzi tub jets did not work and there was nowhere near enough hot water to even think about taking a nice bath, let alone showers for 4 people. The tub had hair on the walls as well. The living room furniture left a lot to be desired- plastic outdoor tables for end tables. Decor desperately needs to be updated and the grill is so dirty it almost caught fire. Overall we had a nice time and we’re comfy but the place needs some more effort and money invested, to make it somewhere we would want to return to. Given the location, with some updating this could be a very nice and very profitable getaway home.

What a beautiful hidden gem! The house offered a welcoming family atmosphere with a big dining room table for meals and playing games. The views from inside the home of the Saint Lawrence Seaway are gorgeous. The huge deck was our favorite spot, watching the boats go by with our morning coffee. The drive to Alexandria Bay was easy with two picturesque overlooks along the way. We loved our stay in Hammond!

We loved Deborah’s cottage. It has everything you need for a relaxing weekend away. There is lots of space inside and out on the porch overlooking the river. The doc is big enough for the 4 of us to sit and watch the boats and the water was perfect to jump in for a swim. The young adults enjoyed the kayaks. Everything was super clean. The beds were very comfortable and the hosts were very responsive. I would definitely stay there again!
