This tranquil and private space is a refuge for people who like being close to nature. The Garden Bungalow is sunny and warm with its large sliding window leading onto the south facing deck . There are cozy nooks in the garden area to curl up and read a book or just sun bathe. Out the gate and down the street is More Mesa a lovely 3 mile walk along the cliffs overlooking the ocean. Or you can walk 10 min through the quiet neighborhood to the beach stairs. Two bikes in the shed. The bungalow has a sitting area with a comfortable love seat couch and coffee table all facing the garden. There is a queen sized very comfy loft bed up a 5 step ladder also with a south facing view to the garden. Walk out the glass doors from the deck down a path about 20 feet to the earth friendly bath house with shower, sink and eco toilet. The outdoor kitchen with stove, fridge, sink and cooking supplies is on the bathhouse deck under the avocado tree. It actually feels like you are perched in a tree while cooking your breakfast.

Such a cute oasis! I loved the coziness and beauty. It was a fun place to stay and Marty and Carey truly thought of everything. I would definitely stay there again!
Marty & Carey are wonderful host! Private beach access makes the stay worth every penny ! The outdoor kitchen makes cooking breakfast and dinner a memorable experience , if you’re lucky you might even see a SpaceX launch from the outdoor kitchen like we did ! My partner and I fit comfortably on the cozy loft bed and enjoyed the sounds of the wildlife. Only a few minutes away from great restaurants, beaches and breweries!

This is a beautiful, peaceful place to stay in the Santa Barbara/ Goleta area. There are beautiful trails and beaches easily accessible from the house. It is also close to the amazing bike paths that go everywhere. Bonus that 2 bikes are provided for use! I enjoyed my stay and found this a great place to relax.
Beautiful setting for a bungalow. Great location to the ocean, and walking and biking trails. Private and safe location. Very kind hosts with exceptional communication.

Our area is a hidden gem, next to a 3 mile square natural preserve, along the cliffs to the beach and through meadows and hilly forested areas. It's an easy walk through the neighborhood to the private beach. There are two orchid nurseries in our neighborhood as well, it's fun to tour through them and admire the exotic varieties of flowers. The house is close to More Mesa preserve with a 3 mile stretch of meandering pathways along the cliffs overlooking the ocean or through valleys with forests. The scenic bike path goes West 10 min. to UCSB and the lovely beaches, it goes East to Santa Barbara 30 min. At low tide you can walk along the beach in both directions for many miles. At high tide the beach becomes very private closed off on either side. It's beautiful area.
Free parking on the right side of the driveway. Two bikes in the shed for your use.

We met in Santa Barbara in college married, had our daughter and then spent 22 years in Europe had two sons there, lived mostly in Portugal. We moved back to Santa Barbara in 2010. We love surfing gardening and having adventures with our grown kids and 5 grandkids.
