We are so excited to share the Kabin on Kennerdell. Cozy & one of a kind with a uniquely designed interior. Located in a peaceful area & less than 1 mile from the Kennerdell Scenic Overlook. Spend time at Freedom Falls or on the Allegheny Bike Trail. Further destinations include; Foxburg Winery, Franklin Airport, Bella Cucina, Trails to Ales Brewery, & Blue Collar Bar. There is public access to the Allegheny River for kayaking adventures. Find great hiking trails at Clear Creek State Forest. Welcome to The Kabin On Kennerdell! Our cozy ranch style kabin features an outdoor deck and backyard space for games and 2 fire-pit locations. The bedrooms are magical and decorated uniquely yet keeps the rustic feel flowing through the kabin. There are 3 bedrooms; the “King of the Kabin” has a king-sized bed with gold metal and wood finishes, “The Dog House” bedroom features a queen bed with a rusted metal industrial décor, and “Bike the Night Away” bedroom has a queen bed with black metal and wood finishes. Let’s get to cookin – The kitchen features a full-size refrigerator, a new stainless steel gas oven, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, dishware, silverware, glasses and cooking utensils. We have an outdoor flattop grill plus a grilling grate over the lower fire-pit. Inside we also have a few smaller cooking appliances available. There is 1 full bath which has a large walk-in shower. You will feel your stress melt away as you stand on natural stone and feel the rainfall shower wash over you. Our kabin operates on a well system so please keep this in mind during your stay. We have 2 fire-pit areas to enjoy. The larger back fire-pit is in our large open hangout space. You have room to set up corn hole boards and there is plenty of sitting and eating areas to enjoy. Not in the mood to sit front row by the fire but you don’t want to be left out… get comfy on the back deck you’ll have the perfect arial view of the fun. Bring the bikes, kayaks, and hiking shoes, you will NOT be bored here with so many different activities to do! Plan a weekend to enjoy a bike ride on the Allegheny River Trail or spend the weekend kayaking on the Allegheny River, which is less than 1 mile down the road. There are public access areas to the river and hiking trails are located across the Kennerdell Bridge at Clear Creek State Forest - Kennerdell Tract. We highly suggest you visit the beautiful Kennerdell Overlook which is located less than 5 minutes from our cabin. If you are looking for waterfalls, look no further than Freedom Falls which is a fan favorite tourist attraction and only 20 minutes away! A few things to make note of & keep in mind – the house water is NOT FOR DRINKING due to the type of well system we have. Please use water for bathing and washing dishes. You will also want to bring your own ice. Firewood is available for purchase, additional $25/ crate. You may need to turn on your “Wi-Fi calling” features as cell service can be bumpy due to our location. TV remotes for the living room are kept on the shelf near the tv, the thermostat is on the same wall. Outdoor cushions are located in a storage container on the front porch. Please no smoking, pets or shoes in the kabin so bring your slippers as the wood floor does get a bit chilly. If there are any accidents or something breaks please let us know so that we can act accordingly. We hope you enjoy your stay at The Kabin On Kennerdell. With a complete renovation under our belts, we started this adventure about 7 years ago to create a place to escape to and make memories.
