The Nest, Winchcombe, is an excellently located Cotswold holiday apartment which sleeps four guests, in two beautifully designed bedrooms, with two contemporary bathrooms. Laid out across two floors in a topsy turvy style with the bedrooms on the entrance floor, this allows the open plan living areas to make the most of the picturesque roof top view. This Cotswold stone property has been thoughtfully renovated, retaining many character features, whilst adding in many modern amenities, creating a true home away from home. The Nest even welcomes one small to medium sized dog to join the holiday! Accommodation This two bedroom holiday cottage in Winchcombe is perfectly suited for those looking to get together with family and friends, exploring the local countryside and eateries. The accommodation is laid out as follows: First Floor The Nest is accessed via an external staircase Master bedroom with ensuite (Sleeps 2) Super king size bed (can be two single beds on request), chaise longue, Smart TV and views of the church Ensuite with walk-in shower, loo and basin Bedroom 2 (Sleeps 2) King size bed, Smart TV and dual aspect rooftop views Family bathroom Bath with overhead shower, loo and basin Utility room Washing machine/tumble dryer Second Floor Kitchen/dining/sitting room Open plan layout with countryside views from multiple windows Electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, ice maker, De'Longhi Dolce Gusto coffee machine with starter supply of pods, and breakfast bar with two stools Four-seater corner sofa, Smart TV and dining table seating four Outside Located on the first floor, the communal decked terrace is shared with neighbouring property, The Nook, Winchcombe and has six chairs and two bistro tables

This place is in a great location. Lots to do within walking distance and the place itself was nice. Other reviews had mentioned the inside stairs being steep. I’m not sure what classifies as dog friendly but more a case of not dog safe. Ended up carrying our dog up & down as one missed step inside and it would’ve been very serious. The outside isn’t secure with the back gate off & yes slippy steps. The rooms are lovely and big and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Wouldn’t / Couldn’t open a window due to the amount of webs and dead bugs attached to them. The bathrooms had a few random hairs and bits over the floors, also the back bit of the toilets where the lid bends was not clean. In the kitchen, crumbs under & behind most of the counter appliances, in the cutlery tray. I don’t expect perfect but a few cleaning supplies may be an idea. Fridge also needs looking at there is ice everywhere which froze most of our food/drinks. We did enjoy our stay but it wouldn’t be for us again.
It’s a great location right on the high street. The flat is so tastefully decorated and the bathrooms and kitchens are well designed and equipped. Things to consider - the flat had a doggy smell as obviously pets are allowed but we had to buy plugin air fresheners as the ones in the wall had run out. We have dogs at home so all good but anyone who doesn’t might just need to consider this. Also as we had a longer stay - 10 days - it would have been good to have a change of bedding/towels etc. we didn’t really want to wash and dry the sheets as the dryer was very slow. Finally, the stairs due to the amount of rain was extremely slippy and hard to navigate as the outside light didn’t always come on. Unfortunately my son slipped and hurt his back. Again we dealt with it but anyone staying needs to consider this particularly older people who may struggle with outside and the steep inside staircase.

Lovely stay in the apartment for 3 nights. Right in the centre of lovely town with great pubs for dinner. Apartment was spotless and very cosy. The bed linen was amazing (we even purchased some for home)! Definitely recommend and would love to stay again 😀

It is uniquely placed at an intersection of the renowned hiking and cycling routes The Cotswold Way, Gloucestershire Way, Warden's Way and Windrush Way. Just a short drive away are the much loved towns of Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Campden and Cheltenham, as well as the picturesque villages of Broadway, Lower Slaughter and Blockley. Top attractions of Sudeley Castle and the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam train are both within easy reach of the Cotswold accommodation.
