Nice place for a getaway. Lotsof space,nicekitchen facilities. Quiet location, nice garden and great play area for kids.also great water pressure and temperature.

We checked in in 23rd December for 6 nights with 3 children. There were no clear directions. The GPS only got us to the village. We eventually found the place with an escort from a lady from a local farm. We arrived at the cottage to a cold, dark home. No heating, lights or any sign of Christmas. There were no instructions on how to operate the heating or hot water. In fact there was no guide book at all. The online information related only to check in and checkout. Despite a wood heater in the lounge, there was no fire wood and the fire place hadn't been cleaned out. As mentioned in countless previous reviews, the doors were mismatched to the door frames, neither of the toilet doors locked, the sliding door to the upstairs bathroom was detached at the bottom which causes my son to get trapped between the door and the wall, and the door handle to one of the bedrooms was directed. The the linen and towels were well worn. A little more time andimagination needs to be put into this one.

Good location and accommodation. Good kitchen, downstairs bathroom and outside area with children's play equipment. Needs some TLC; eg bathroom doors need locks, bathrooms need mirrors, a few squeaky doors, WiFi was patchy.

To look at the place it was lovely, but on closer inspection it needs some improving. The minor issues are as follows. Both toilet seats lose, this has been mentioned in another review but still not fixed. some of the doors are too small for the frames, so they didn't shut. There was no bbq even though one is advertised. Now the major issues we had. Naked and loose wiring on the outdoor lighting, pictures were sent of this. 20+ cigarette butt's outside the back door which my 4 year old found and picked up, pictures were sent of these. This place could be amazing but they need to put a bit of work into it. Maybe this is what happens when you pay a company to look after the place on your behalf.

Great stay, and value for money! Highly recommended. Place was lovely and clean, easy access. Great hosts.
