STAY HERE!!!!!!!!! This is the most special place I’ve ever stayed at! 10/10. Book it now! If you want more details: My husband and I and the dog stayed for a night and I wish we had more time! Mark and Chris were friendly and helpful! It was so peaceful to have such a nice little private space. The bathroom is the coolest you’ll ever see in your life. Enjoying a hot shower with the Mountain View is glorious. The sleep pods are a perfect little cozy space. It dumped rain right after we arrived so we couldn’t take advantage of the grill or fire pit - but town is just a short 15 minute drive which has MANY food options. Even in the cold and rain the place was amazing! We turned the heater on and stayed cozy in the pod. After the rain cleared we got a stellar view of the night sky. The property is beautiful with NOTHING in the immediate surroundings - so we enjoyed a hike around the area in the morning - which gave the dog the best time of his life wandering free to romp and sniff.

We recommend this place. It took a lot of engineering to build it and Mark’s work is impressive. It is completely off the grid with both solar and generator power. The tile work in the bathhouse is a work of art. The location is about two miles from the nearest paved road with panoramic views. It couldn’t have been easy to build this place. Even more impressive is Mark works from a wheelchair. I admire him greatly for what he has accomplished. So definitely go and see for yourself. What it needs is a little refresh. New mattresses, minor repairs, a few hooks to hang your clothes—little things would make a big difference. There are two planters in front begging for local plants and cactus. But these are nitpicks. Go.
