Everything in the building was clean and new (bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, etc.). Hosts were communicative and provided quick responses. Location is walkable to Chinatown, Convention Center, and city center. Only downsides are that the walls are thin-I was woken up 3 out of the 4 nights there because I could hear people talking in the other rooms or on the sidewalk. Also the building was cold at night. However, when I brought these issues up to the hosts, they promptly addressed the issues.

On the positive note: the room and bathroom is clean and tidy and smells well, location is good too! On the negative note: I totally understand that between 10pm-9am is the quite hour, however me and my partner just chit chatting in the room with normal voice, one lady tap the door and said we have to speak in a lower volume. It’s just a basic conversation in normal voice between me and my partner, if we have to whisper in the room during the times slots, then it’s not a normal situation, and the house has to do a better job in terms of sound isolation. On top of that, the room’s sound isolation is horrible, we could literally hear the opposite room is moving the luggages towards the end of the stairs and also the voice of their conversation and the voice of kitchen which is one floor below us. All in all, I think quiet hour rule makes lots of sense, but if it’s affecting the conversation within the room, then it would affect the overall experience.

This was my very first time using airbnb, and I was out of state when I used it so I was very skeptical.. but after having read all the good reviews , I’m glad I decided to go with this house . Rong was very quick to respond and very informative. The check-in process was very easy , the listing looked exactly as the photo described, and I was able to sleep peacefully because I felt very comfortable and at home again. I will definitely be looking to rent again when I’m in town
