My warm and cozy apartment with modern amenities is nested in a late 19th century building. I am in the film & photography business, so the living room doubles as a workspace (when I don’t have guests). It’s a home influenced by art, recycling, plants and enjoying life - like making Thai soup or nestling up in the couch for a movie. The location is excellent: quiet street in Copenhagens safest neighborhood, close to Metro station, shopping, restaurants, Frederiksberg Garden and entertainment. The front door opens into a small hall, connecting all the rooms. The apartment is 63 sq. meters (675 sq. feet) + a 4 sq. meters balcony. In the bedroom there’s a well kept 180 double bed (King Size) with firm mattresses. One half of a big closet will be available to you during your stay. There’s a 34” TV and usb charging ports in the room. This is also where the balcony access is, adding that much needed light during winter and a place to enjoy tobacco, if you’re a smoker. My living room has a Persian carpet, an IKEA couch, a recycled wooden cabinet and drop-down backgrounds on one wall for my photography. There are discrete acoustic paneling, making the room ideal for movie watching on the big screen. Netflix and HBO available. The bathroom is rather large, with screened windows, a rainfall shower and a washing machine. The toilet is separate from the bath. In the kitchen there’s a gas stove, a micro wave oven and a blender, besides the fridge and freezer. You can use the coffee, condiments and spices, just please fill up if you clean it out. Garbage disposal is a big thing here, and you’ll find there’s a bin for just about everything. It is an older building, so be aware that noise travels and all residents and guests are expected to exercise courtesy. You can read specifics under house rules. Also notice that a couple of floor boards by the front door give off a slight squeak.
I have been to many Air BNBs in Copenhagen but this one was a real gem! Cosy apartment, very well located 5 min walking distance from the metro station, and with a real bathroom, which makes the difference in Copenhagen! Andreas was an amazing host, very convenient and flexible on the check in and check out times, who welcomed me with thoughtful gestures (a delicious home made bread!). I definitely recommend staying at Andreas'.
the apartment is well furnished, very well thought out and very bright. The district is great and supermarkets and the subway are very close. Plus: Andreas is the best host I have ever encountered in Airbnb for many years. An absolute recommendation!
Andreas Apartment was lovely. He put a lot of effort in every room and keeps them very organised and clean. The bed, shower and balcony were all amazing. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking. He was very friendly, fast in responding and helped us out with every question. We‘d definetely recommend this place for a stay in copenhagen since the neighbourhood is very quiet and you‘re very close to the center (metro near or walking also possible). Thanks Andreas!
Vi hadde noen superfine dager i Andreas sin sjarmerende leilighet på Frederiksberg! Vi følte oss som hjemme. Kan ikke anbefale stedet nok:)
Frederiksberg is a separate municipality wedged in the greater Copenhagen area. It is known for its safety, high end living, shopping, arts and the wonderful castle garden close by.
In the summertime people stroll on the avenue, picking up ice cream at the historic chocolatier or they sit down for a drink in the sun. In the wintertime they go to one of the many theaters or jump inside a pub for a beer.
The central avenue leading to the castle park is at one end of my street. There’s a nice coffee shop on the corner - it’s just a two minute walk. One block further and there’s lots of shopping on Gl. Kongevej. The entire area has some nice restaurants, like Sans Souci, Promenaden or Polly.
If you walk the other way down my street for five minutes, you’ll find good grocery shopping and more cafes.
Frederiksberg Alle Metro Station is also a five minute walk from the apartment, and from there you’re just one station from Vesterbro, where you’ll find the music venue Vega, local fare, food and nightlife.
If you fancy walking, the castle garden is only 10 minutes away. It’s a romantic style garden, which offers boat rides and picnic areas. In Denmark we are allowed to drink in public parks, so be aware that people will bring a bottle of wine or the youngsters will play games while drinking beer. All part of the hygge.
It’s about a 20-30 minute walk to Tivoli and city center. A lot of shopping and entertainment is found that way, but the tourism picks up a bit.
As a Copenhagener I know a thing or two about this and that, and I’d be happy to help you have a unique and fantastic experience while staying in my city, so feel free to ask.
Parking is by the hour on my street. If staying longer, I’d recommend parking further away for free and using public transport, bikes or walking for getting around.
The metro will take you pretty much anywhere fast and clean. Otherwise there are options for using scooters, bikes and even cars through sharing services.

Hi there! I'm a Danish-American actor-photographer, who grew up in Copenhagen, but I've lived in both Rio de Janeiro and Los Angeles. The arts are my passion; human beings and their experiences fascinate me. Talk to me about anything movie, and you've got a listener. I’m on a mission to be a most personable and trusted guest and host.
