I will advise you of known dates when work will be completed but the work schedule is very fluid and intermittent with various contractors. DC METRO TRAIN STATION UPDATE (JUNE THROUGH SEPTEMBER): From June through September, the metro train between 5 stations, including Forest Glen (the train station near my house) will not operate due to a major railway project. Instead shuttle busses will be operating so you may take the shuttle bus from the Forest Glen metro station. You can read more details online if you search "red line stations closed". GUEST REQUIREMENTS TO BOOK: *STANDARD SIZE VEHICLE ONLY: I do offer onsite parking for one vehicle but it's only big enough for standard sized cars, SUVs and trucks. In addition, street parking is NOT permitted as that is for the neighbors. As a result, the following vehicles are prohibited here: Moving Vans and Moving Trucks, RVs, campers, trucks or SUVs towing a trailer or boat, extra wide or extra long trucks or SUVs, and tractor trailers. Standard size pickup trucks and SUVs are fine as long as you aren't towing anything (e.g. storage or moving trailer). This property is a pearl silver certified and pepco energy star silver certified home for energy efficiency and is in the top 6% of homes in Maryland! These certifications are due to a new roof, new insulation, new energy-efficient windows, and all new energy-efficient appliances. Pictures of the certificates are included in the photos. The house is a short uber/lyft to the Forest Glen metro train station (1 mile away). Quick 15 minute drive to downtown silver spring and wheaton, and wheaton mall. Walking distance to sligo creek trail for great walking. Free onsite parking for two vehicles. My house is also a very short walk from a bus stop but the bus only operates during rush hour in the morning and evening. If you aren't able to take the bus, the metro station is a quick lyft/uber ride or you can drive to the Forest Glen metro station if you have a car (that train station has plenty of parking). Nice private room with lots of amenities for you to enjoy. You'll enjoy lots of privacy with your own private full bathroom and no other guests staying on the floor where your room is so you will have lots of privacy. My bedroom is upstairs so the only time we might see each other is if I'm cooking in the kitchen but there is a privacy curtain in your hallway for extra privacy. Note: this room is equipped with blackout curtains. When the curtains are closed it can be dark even during a sunny day, and your room can get REALLY dark at night. Most guests love this but I do like to point this out so there aren't any surprises.
