We had a great weekend away at Chelos place located in a nice historic part of Richmond within walking distance of everything. Accomodation was cosy and Hosts are fun to chat to and very helpful. Chelo is also a good source of knowledge for anybody interested in European fashion design !

Chelo and her husband have an old style home in a two storey terrace house. They are a warm, interesting retired couple, happy to converse and full of information, and they made me very welcome. The location is fantastic for getting in and around inner Melbourne, trams are close by. The house is clean, well maintained with an older decor. The room is basic but fine for a simple stay. I was only there for two nights on a work trip. For longer work stays it probably would not suit me since the room is small. They offered access to the rest of the house which was nice of them, but did not suit my work style. A couple may also find it a bit small for a longer stay. They made sure that they were home to let me in, and each time I had to return to the house, since I did not have a key. This worked out fine since our schedules did overlap. All in all I had a good stay, was happy to meet Chelo and would stay again.
