While all the concerns/problems ultimately got resolved, it was extremely unnerving to walk into a dark house with an unlocked, wide open back door. I grabbed a dirty butcher knife from the kitchen to make sure no one was in the basement. The shower head was not attached and the stress it caused made me so frustrated. Thankfully my son was able to get it attached. The house itself was a great size with comfy beds, but we discovered the bathroom floor was dirty, the water coming out of the faucets was brown, and the back gate was not only unlocked, it was left open - much like the back door. Being off a busy road everything about it was stressful. When I pointed out the dirty bathroom, they had someone come in a clean it and we were refunded our cleaning fee, which was appreciated. The main bathroom shower needs updating badly. You can’t really tell if it’s clean or not. I hate to leave a bad review, but this experience reminded me why I rarely use airbnb. We seem to always pick duds.
