This beautiful apartment is centrally located, just a 5-minute walk from central Victoria. It has a spacious living area, with open plan kitchen, lounge and dining room, stylishly furnished and well-equipped. This area is flooded with sunlight, thanks to large windows leading out to a small balcony where you can enjoy sunset views. There are 3 double bedrooms, one en suite, and a separate bathroom in the hall. Upstairs you can enjoy a roof terrace with beautiful country and Citadel views. In this apartment you'll find: A large living area, made up of open plan kitchen, lounge and dining room One en suite double bedroom Two double bedrooms One shared bathroom Rooftop terrace Laundry room

Very clean, but there are chickens as the room description says. It is recommended to prepare comfortable earplugs

This was a beautiful apartment to stay in! The host was very easy to speak with and answered very fast to my messages. As mentioned in the description there is a rooster and you will definitely hear it all night. Good quality ear plugs are a must.

The apartment was nicely decorated and clean enough, however could have provided some missing necessities i.e. sugar, pepper, pans, hand wash etc. The location is great.

We loved the wide sunny view, the tasteful bedrooms, and the generously outfitted kitchen. It was easy to walk into town. The other reviews were accurate: there is a rooster behind the house that starts going in the dark hours of the morning, so bring high-quality earplugs. It was a nice stay!

Lovely stay in a wonderful bright apartment. In particular a very well equipped kitchen which is great for a family needing to cook often. The only down side were the cockerels in the field behind the house which were quite loud during the night. This might affect light sleepers in particular. Otherwise the apartment is perfect and good value. Recommended.

Fontana is a beautiful and peaceful suburb of Victoria, Gozo's main town. From the apartment, you can walk to Victoria's old town, with its characteristic cobbled streets and church squares, in five minutes. You are also a 5-10 minute walk from the central bus terminus, where you can connect to all other parts of the island.
Just a few steps from the apartment you will find a fantastic fruit and vegetable stall. There is also a good bakery nearby, a small supermarket, a pharmacy and a fishmongers.
Nearby attractions:
Sacred Heart of Jesus Church: Foundation stone laid in 1893 and completed in 1905, this beautiful church is the parish church of Fontana, which is one of the smallest villages in Gozo. 300 metres walk from apartment.
Fontana Cottage Industry & Knight's Wash House: This traditional market is well worth a visit to browse through local arts and crafts. It is just opposite the Knight's Wash House, one of the best preserved traditional wash houses in Fontana. 400 metres walk from apartment.
Xlendi Beach: while the beach in Xlendi is small, this is one of the most popular swimming spots on the island and is the gateway to Xlendi Bay, a beautiful area to explore. From here you can easily hike to the Sanap Cliffs. Xlendi is brimming with restaurants and bars. We particularly recommend FRONT for live music. 2.1km walk from the apartment.
St George's Basilica: This beautiful church is situated in a lively square full of restaurants. The square is also home to Il-Haggar museum and art gallery, which has a great rooftop bar and restaurant (a hidden gem!). 750m walk from apartment.
Citadel: needs no introduction - this is the heart of the island and well worth a few hours to explore. The Citadel is just 1.2km away from the apartment on foot.

However, this is a very easy area to explore on foot, and is well-served by several bus routes, so a car is not a necessity. You are a short walk from Victoria.
