Had an absolutely amazing time at the guest house for an extended get away from NYC with my husband and our little dog. It was incredibly peaceful and such a beautiful location. The guest house was really charming and reminded us of English cottages we have stayed in. Peter was so helpful with recommendations and making sure we had settled in ok and the hike that was recommended out the door was fantastic - we even saw a black bear (from a safe distance!). Even though I don't want to give away this secret gem - I I could not recommend it more! Can't wait for a future visit!

Peter is a wonderful host. We had to make some changes to our travel plans and Peter was super responsive, accommodating and helpful. Thank you! The place is fantastic and beautiful. Definitely coming back.

Peter's Airbnb/cottage was absolutely perfect and exactly as described. It was cozy, comfortable, and had all the necessities for myself, my girlfriend, and her pup. The bed was extremely comfortable. Our main goal for the trip was to experience the hiking that was "only steps away" and boy was that accurate. It was a great feeling being able to walk out the front door and onto the hiking trails in seconds. It felt like a dream. We only stayed for 3 nights but could have stayed a week. There were several homes nearby that shared a long winding driveway, but it still felt as if we were by ourselves. It was quiet and the perfect getaway from NYC. Cooking was easy and convenient in the kitchen. We cooked most meals at home but one night went out to downtown Suffern, which was nice but a little sleepy. Peter was an awesome host. He was available for questions and was extremely responsive. Would definitely stay again.

Peter's cottage was fantastic and Peter was an extremely helpful host. The kitchen appliances are all updated and the living area upstairs was perfect (including smart TV!). For anyone else that got confused by the amenities listing, THERE IS HOT WATER. I saw previous reviews mention low water pressure but the water pressure was great during my stay. We absolutely plan to stay here again when we come back into town to visit family in 2024.

Peter's place was absolutely perfect for our family and a true nature lover's delight. It's so incredibly peaceful -- you'll only hear the chirp of birds and the rush of water from a nearby stream. The cottage is very cozy and comfortable. Everything you'll need is there. We are a family of six -- two adults, two kids and two dogs -- and the space was just right for us. Harriman State Park is your backyard. The hiking trails -- with views across the Hudson Valley and down to Manhattan -- are simply outstanding. Peter provides a map and excellent written descriptions. He's as friendly as can be, and really works hard to make you feel at home. We would love to return the next time we're in the area.
