Bring the family, including your furry family, to this spacious house, steps from Gun Lake. Grill & relax on the upper deck with beautiful views of the lake. Gun Lake is an all sport lake that is roughly 2,680 acres. Russell Retreat is 20 mins from Hastings, 32 mins from Grand Rapids, and 33 mins from Kalamazoo. When you are not out on the water, take a hike at Yankee Springs, test your luck at the Casino, or taste local wines at Glass Creek Winery. All less than 15 minutes from your door. The main floor of Russell Retreat has two bedrooms, one full bath, kitchen, and dining area. Upstairs you will find another bedroom, full bathroom with washer and dryer, wet bar, living room, sitting area, and deck to view the lake. Outside you will be able to enjoy your own fire pit and plenty of room to relax. Don’t forget your kayaks and canoes to put in the lake access at the end of the road.

Overall, beautiful home with great hosts and I will certainly rent again if available. Hosts were very friendy and quick to respond. Beautiful place and very clean. Lots of room to spread out. Only downside is that the kitchen/dining room and living room are on different floors and the inside stairs are steep. Thankfully the outdoor steps are easier if you do struggle.

Beautiful location and home. It was very close to the venue my daughter was getting married. Dani was very responsive with any questions we had and allowed us to check in early. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in the area.
Absolutely Wonderful stay ! As a travel Nurse I look for a peaceful and relaxing place to stay with all of the amenities, even a fire pit for s’mores . The Russell is where it’s at! Thank You Dani and Forrest for making our stay memorable, see You next year!!
