Situated on a 40-acre family farm, this lovingly restored 105 year-old cottage is the quintessential farm experience. Wake up to the beautiful sound of birds, splash your feet in the private creek, enjoy a cuppa on the veranda, or read a book while curled up in front of the fireplace. Located on Wildflower Farm, a 40 acre property. The Cottage is a truly unique Hinterland gem. Built in 1917, this classic Queenslander showcases quality craftsmanship that is rare to find. With it's heritage architecture, The Cottage brings you back to a bygone era when life was simpler and time moved slower. Keeping it's old-world charm while featuring a newly restored bathroom and kitchen, the Cottage offers both comfort and character. Inside the spacious cottage is two bedrooms, one bathroom, a full kitchen, a living room, a dining room to seat six, and laundry. The master bedroom contains a King bed and the second bedroom also contains a King bed (which can also be made up as two single beds at an additional fee*). The newly restored bathroom has an overhead rain shower as well as a cast-iron clawfoot tub that is sure to wash your worries away. For those that want to take advantage of the bounty of local produce in the area, the large kitchen equipped with a full-sized stove/oven and refrigerator makes it easy to enjoy cooked meals in. The homey living room has a wood fireplace and Queen sofa bed. Don’t miss mornings on the veranda to watch the world pass by. Beyond The Cottage you can enjoy the magic of Wildflower Farm: wander down to the private creek, enjoy limes from the orchard, watch the bees buzzing into their hive from a day's work, and soak up views of rolling pastures. We greet our guests with a complimentary welcome basket so that you are sure to feel right at home on Wildflower Farm.
