Thrapston is a market town in North Northamptonshire, following the census in 2011 it had a population of 6,239. The town's name means 'Farmstead or town of a man named Thraepst'.
Thrapston is located in Northamptonshire which is affectionately referred to as The Rose of the Shires, thanks to its major role in the Wars of the Roses. Its coat of arms is a symbolic representation of the county's fascinating history, with a motto that reads: 'Rosa Concodium Signum', which means, 'A Rose, Symbol of Peace'.

Thrapston High Street is a 4 minute walk (0.2 miles) where you can find a vast selection of artisan shops even boasting a high street butchers and bakers. These are nestled in amongst the local post office, pharmacy, beauticians, a barbers plus an array of takeaway establishments
For a more substantial grocery shop there is a Co-op, which is an 8 minute walk (0.4 miles) located on Sackville Street.
If you are visiting us on the first Saturday of the month you will have the pleasure of browsing our local ‘Farmers Market’ which is accredited to FARMA ASSOCIATION and is a very successful monthly market with over 20 stalls each offering something different
A wonderful range of produce available including; pies, organic eggs and free range poultry, fish, organic pork and lamb, crayfish fishcakes, pickles, chilli sauces, bread, cheese, fruit and vegetables, pies, honey, preserves, hot drinks and snacks, plants, wax melts and a great variety of cakes & traybakes.
For a relaxing pint and to enjoy some of the local banter there’s a selection of pubs on the High Street, namely The Kings Arms, The Fox Inn, The Masons Arms and the Court House Inn. For a more relaxed ‘country pub’ feel we have the Woolpack Inn if you turn left on Bridge St, over the bridge and you will see it on the corner of the road next to the roundabout, it’s only 0.5 miles & certainly within walking distance.
