A beautiful property located in a quiet village. The room was beautiful, clean and cozy. Plenty of tea & coffee available if needed. Breakfast was fantastic with a selection of fresh fruit, pastries and cooked breakfast. They do cater for vegetarians in there breakfast too.

Rachael was a superb host, the listing is very accurate and the included breakfast was a highlight! Everyone was very helpful and the check in and check out process was seamless. I would thoroughly recommend a stay here!

We had a really peaceful stay. The village is absolutely beautiful and the view from our bedroom was idyllic. With all of the Autumn colours left on the trees it felt so nice to look out and be in a lovely warm and cosy room. The bed was really comfortable and we slept really well as it was super quiet even though there were other guests there. Rachael was so accommodating on some extra requests we had and I’m really grateful for our stay there.

We were extremely happy with this find for an overnight stay while walking Tabular Hills walk from Scarborough to Helmsley - right on our route, and a very welcome comfortable and clean private room with a much appreciated bath after our walking. Also Rachael recommended the Crown pub a few minutes walk away where we had an excellent Sunday roast. Ruth served us a very good breakfast which was very beautifully laid out in the dining room of the main house. We enjoyed chatting with her about walking and the local area and we would definitely return here another time. We certainly recommend this accommodation which has been very carefully thought out.

The perfect country house! It’s a beautiful old building, well looked after and very cosy. The hosts were friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make our trip special. Our room was one of the nicest bedrooms I’ve ever slept in, with a comfy 4 poster bed, lovely bathtub and idyllic views of the surrounding countryside. It was honestly like waking up in a painting. We can’t wait to come back and stay for longer.
