Due to new AirBnb rules in the Comox Valley, this guesthouse is going through some renovations to comply with new rules and will be available for rental again soon. Thank you for your understanding. The new, stylish 'Open Heart Mind' Guesthouse and Bed and Breakfast is a bright and inspiring flex space that can be used as a living/sleeping/dining area, or as an artist/yoga studio or both. Designed to celebrate the fantastic view, the space is a cozy and romantic space for two, but can also easily accommodate two very comfortable large cots (from the closet) for extra guests. Features includes a fully equipped kitchenette with gas stove and Keurig coffee machine; huge windows to capture the view with electric blinds for privacy; sprung and heated floors; dimmable lights plus a cooling/heating air system; stylish bathroom with a spacious shower; large covered porch, four person hot-tub and covered parking area with a barbecue and an electric car charger. The Yurt Studio (when available) may be used by guests as an added open yoga/dance/creative/play space. If you wish to reserve it for specific times it is available as an hourly rental. We had a wonderful stay, beautiful ocean view and a very convenient studio with all necessary amenities. the kids also really loved the hot tub and the many deers that were visiting the garden👍
MJ’s place is in a gorgeous, secluded location. It is beautiful inside and out, and very well appointed. The view of the ocean and snow-capped mountains (and deer in the yard at dusk) was so calming, with the shoreline itself just a 30 min walk or quick drive away. The hot tub was a real treat, as was use of the yurt for our personal yoga practice. This is an ideal place to connect to yourself and to nature without the common distractions of life.
What a lovely place The view and the location are amazing, the place was pristine and well equipped, and we lived having access to the tub and the hot tub. Great to walk at the beach and hit Mount Washington in the same day I would recommend it to friends and would go back. It was also great to be able to do yoga

The guesthouse is in a quiet, rural area but close to many amenities. It is a one minute drive to one of the best lesser-known beaches on the island; 30 minutes to the base of Mount Washington for wonderful skiing, hiking and other mountain sports; 15 minutes to the town of Courtenay with both quaint boutique shopping and big box stores for all your needs. The area also boasts dozens of farm stands, golf courses, marinas, wineries, breweries, foodie restaurants and more.
