Christina was such a wonderful and thoughtful host. The the place was beautiful and was so close to the lake. It was lovely having bikes to use to enjoy rides into town. The horses nearby really made you feel like you were escaping to whole new world. Thank you again for such a delightful getaway!
Overall, we had a great stay! Mike and Christina left us some goodies which was a nice addition to our stay! They also have an amazing pear tree that bares delicious fruit! The apartment was a little smaller than we thought but its to be expected since it is only for 2 people max. The place had cute decor and felt cozy, like we were at home! Mike and Christina gave us some firewood for a beach bonfire. The combination of sunset and bonfire was so beautiful and romantic! They also left us beach chairs which was nice not having to lug ours down to the beach and the beach was so nice, its not rocky when going for a swim. They left us bikes and it was fun to bike along the beach and cruise the town! We had some minor issues but Christina is very quick to respond and give helpful instructions. Overall, we would recommend this place for a little getaway :)
My wife and I stayed at The Haven On Huron for two nights. We had a really relaxing time. Christina is an amazing host. The provided welcome package and guidebook were very helpful in terms of what is available in the area. The property location is very quiet and close to the beach. You can walk within 5 min or use the provided bikes. This property is very nice and is exactly like the photos show. The welcome gifts and personal note were really nice touches. Thanks again Christina and Mike! And on top of that the provided carrots to feed the horses at the end of the street is a really unique idea. We really enjoyed doing that. Overall I would highly recommend this spot.

The Haven on Huron is in the Boiler Beach area of Kincardine. The unit is situated in a quiet and residential neighbourhood, with large mature trees and big lots. There is very limited vehicle traffic in front of the property due to it being located on a dead end street; which adds to the peaceful experience.
With Lake Huron only a few hundred meters away, you can hear the relaxing sound of the waves crashing through any open windows.
The Haven on Huron is less than a 5-min walk to Boiler Beach, as well as a 5-min drive or 15-min bike to Station Beach and local shops, restaurants and conveniences on the main Downtown Kincardine strip.
*Driving* Using your car will get you around in no time! Both the Downtown strip and larger retailers on Hwy 21 are approximately a 5-minute or so drive away!
*Biking * Use the cruiser bikes provided to enjoy the outdoors and get active! Station Beach and Downtown is approx. a 15-min bike ride.
*Walking* Traveling on foot is a great way to get to Boiler Beach as it's only a 4-5 min walk! If you're feeling eager and want to walk into Downtown to the shops, cafes and restaurants, you can make it there in between 45-60mins.
*Taxis* There is no such thing as Uber in this small town! And there's only 1-2 taxis. Please always arrange for a safe return to the apartment suite when enjoying time Downtown.
*Parking Downtown Kincardine* Currently, because of the construction on Queen Street, street parking on the Downtown Strip is limited. There is parking around Victoria Park (Durham Market Street N. and S.) and parking lots accessible from Lambton Street and Durham Street. All parking is FREE.
