Our home is nestled in the charming Wallingford neighborhood, known for its beautifully landscaped yards and historic Seattle architecture. Boasting a central location, Wallingford offers easy access to the city's best local eateries, bars, cafes, and boutique shops. Whether you're interested in exploring iconic
tourist attractions, immersing yourself in Seattle's vibrant music scene, indulging in café culture, or dining at top-notch restaurants, you'll find that the Pacific Northwest's natural beauty and urban offerings are just a stone's throw away. For more extensive nightlife options and big-name shopping experiences, you're just a 10–20-minute journey via public transportation or a 5–10-minute drive away.

There are many walkable options nearby if you feel like stretching your legs.
Electric bikes and scooters are also available to rent and are a wonderful way to get around and see the city. Seattle is bicycle-friendly, with bike lanes and trails throughout the city.
If driving, you’ll find plenty of unrestricted parking on Burke and 39th st.
You can easily catch a taxi or rideshare (Uber, Lyft, etc…) from the house. We’re a short 5-10 minute car ride to downtown, the waterfront, and other lively neighborhoods like Capitol Hill (bars, restaurants) and Ballard (beach, shops).
Public transportation: there are several bus lines within a few blocks of the property. The 31/32 line, which you can catch on either Wallingford Ave or 40th St (~2 blocks), the 44 line which you can catch on 45th st. (~6 blocks), and the 62 line which you can catch on Stone Way or 45th st (~6 blocks). These buses provide easy access to various destinations in Seattle, as well as the U District light rail station, where you can transfer to a train, the airport, a ferry to the islands, or other buses, depending on where you're headed.

If you're familiar with using G oogle maps, their public transportation option is very helpful for planning bus/train trips and getting around the city.
You can download the Transit Go app on your smartphone to buy tickets on-demand for Seattle public transit, plan routes to get where you’re going, and see arrival times for buses and trains. We highly recommend this if you plan on using public transportation while you're here. It is very convenient to use.
