The "Artist house" is a colourful wooden cabin. There is a room with two beds and a bathroom (basin, toilet)- and a brand-new outdoor shower. From the veranda you can reach the fully equipped kitchen. The owner, reggae musician Jamaica Papa Curvin, has lived in Germany for 40 years and ja few years ago he discovered his favourite property on the island. Now he lives in Jamaica and is looking forward to hosting guests with a genuine interest in his home country. The Artist house is located on a vast property with stunning sea views and tropical garden, just above a rocky cliff. From your front porch or sitting in the hammock or on the new build sun deck you will enjoy the beautiful garden and the panorama views of the sea. You can also discover exotic birds and butterflies in the lush vegetation on the huge property. In the evenings you can watch the light of fireflies. If you want to, you can fish directly on the property or get refreshed by jumping from the cliffs into the sea, if the sea conditions allow. You can lounge in several hammocks. During the summer months you can enjoy stunning sun rises and sunsets from here. Enjoy our sun deck overlooking the cliffs, giving you a panoramic view of the ocean! Visit our CAVE! See photos. Jamaican breakfast and/or dinner on request. Vacation far away from the crowds!: How about a trip to a beautiful waterfall not far from the property? Enjoy the beautiful location to swim or jump from the cliffs right into the water. l As Curvin´s guest you will find it very easy to get into conversations with the people from the neighborhood. We can also organize individual Real Jamaica tours that will lead you to the unknown treasures of the island. This location offers you everything for a perfect vacation far away from tourist crowds. If your looking to sit on the edge of the ocean in peace and privacy with beautiful sunrises and sunsets and magnificent night skies Papa Curvin’s home will please you. The cabin is set within a small tropical forest on the beach. It’s not manicured and very natural, a protective nature embrace. This is a place to disconnect and be.
Wir wurden in der Unterkunft von Papa Curvin in „Real Jamaika“ ,von ihm,seiner Frau Joan,und dem restlichen Team herzlich in Empfang genommen. Die Atmosphäre war total entspannt,familiär,und man hat es mit Menschen zu tun,die sich sehr um einen bemühen. Man hat uns Einblick in ihr Leben gewährt,und uns integriert.Diese Meschen dort sind „REAL“,und es hätte besser nicht sein können.Jederzeit würden wir dort wieder vorbeikommen!
Die Unterkunft ist der Hit. Bisher absolut das Beste Airbnb Erlebnis auf unserer Weltreise. Curvin, Joan und die ganze Familie ist freundlich und habe uns Ausflüge ermöglich. Wir konnten tatsächlich das "Real Jamaica" erleben. Die nähe zum Meer ist ein Traum. Auf der Plattform kann man Sterne anschauen, Workout mache oder einfach entspannen. Fischen ist auch möglich von den Klippen aus. Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit und empfehlen die Unterkunft gerne weiter. Wir kommen gerne wieder! Danke!
Staying with Papa and Joan was exactly what we needed. They are warm, friendly, flexible, accommodating and we left feeling like we had made life long friends. We loved their recommendations and even more so, our time with them, learning about Jamaica and listening to Papa tell stories. Truly an unforgettable stay and experience. We stayed in the artist’s house at Curvin’s property. The cottage was really lovely and clean, the outdoor shower was great. The hosts were very nice. The only thing we have to say about our stay, is that the several dogs on the property did bark every night between 12 and 4am, so we did get very little sleep. The sounds of nature are amazing, and this is why we chose to stay in a cottage rather than a hotel, but we did not expect the dogs.

Within walking distance from your vacation cottage is the picturesque Fishermen´s Beach, here the beach has small pebbles - but it is a perfect spot for snorkeling and a refreshing swim. You can also purchase the freshly caught fish and various types of shellfish.
For a day on the beach we recommend the authentic Caribbean Sugar Pot Beach with bar and a restaurant with delicious seafood (lobster etc). It's about 13 minutes by car, you can also go by the cheap Route Taxi ( Jamaica - no problem;) Meet the locals, off the beaten track.

Jamaica Papa Curvin has now reached the status of a Reggae Legend. Even before Reggae was born, Curvin came to Europe. He has taken a shine on ska and calypso, the precursors of reggae, in the early 1960s. From the "Bamboos of Jamaica" Curvin’s musical way led him over "Broadway" and "Malcolm's Locks" to "Boney M.". With "Boney M." Curvin toured as a drummer, even in the Eastern Bloc, which was closed for most other Western bands. His singing career began timidly at first but friends and musicians urged him to sing. Curvin could not let his drum go but because his instrument is anyway united with him he accomplished a rare feat: For years he has been playing drums while singing simultaneously. Meanwhile, he is the pure front man. After 40 years in Europe Jamaica Papa Curvin returned to the most beautiful island in the world: Jamaica. In Jamaica he runs a studio and continues what he already started in Germany: Supporting young talents. The secret of his authenticity: "I see my audience as a part of me, when I speak to my audience, I have a feeling I'm talking to myself", Curvin reveals.
