Great place. Lots of room and very nice Villa overall. Lino was great houst. Helped as with everything and even took us to supermarket with his own car. Everything was just like promised and we did have great week at the Villa Buddha.

A lovely place to stay however feel that all the bathrooms should have been useable and they weren't. Hot water should have been available considering there were 6 adults on the property. The air-conditioning was advertised on the website and did not expect to have to pay an extra cost. The new tax should have been advertised.

Beautiful house, in pretty village. People visiting in winter should know that the house gets cold and damp and there is no real solution available. Lino is a great guy and did everything he could to make us feel comfortable.

The Villa Buddha is a very grand building with spacious rooms and wonderfully quirky decor. It is made of the traditional stone and boasts high ceilings, tall doorways and a central courtyard. The pool at the back of the property provides a focal point of luxury and calm. This place would rate as classic 3 star accommodation. It is let down by its bathrooms and toilets. They are basic and some have problems with water pressure and/or drainage. The toilets' flushing systems need to be updated as they require patience to get them to flush. The villa is in Iz-Zurreiq about a 30€ cab fare to Valletta. There are no restaurants locally that we could locate but there was a local convenience store, a butcher, a pastizzi shop and ATM. The bedrooms are located upstairs. The stairs are steep and this would be a significant limitation for anyone with mobility problems. The villa was unlockable but we had no trouble with theft. The kitchen was impressive and fitted out with new red cabinetry. The oven was not as clean as one would expect. Overall the property was clean but smaller details in the some of the bathrooms let it down like some mould or faded bath mats. The host was enthusiastic and very proud of his work restoring this villa.
