Absolutely amazing, you could not get a better host if you tried, Ilya arranged my transfers both two and from the airport. As soon as I arrived, he was there to greet me with a smile on his face. He pointed out the local exchange so that I will be able to exchange my money into local currency. Any question I had he answered promptly. Thank him for his help

I've left two glowing reviews, and I stand by them. It's a struggle to think of anything negative to say. The hosts are great. The building is a little dirty, but that's only because other tenants leave trash around sometimes and it takes a while to get cleaned up. Their place is a gem though, and their floor was clean. I used the stairs, so I saw that other floors were somewhat dirty. On Friday and Saturday from 10-12 I could faintly hear some electronic music, but it was otherwise completely quiet. I wondered if I was the only tenant on the floor for a long time! left my clothes out to dry too long one week and a pigeon pooped on my shirt. Of course, there's a great washer and there was laundry soap, so that was easily remedied. So, that's it. I am really digging to think of anything negative and that's all I can come up with. It's a sweet little apartment

So nice I stayed twice! The second month was just as pleasant as the first. I got a little addicted to having a great place to run and see sunsets across the street! The strong, stable internet (50 mbps down and 10 up) insured I was able to teach, too

I can't say enough about how pleasant my stay was. I had my misgivings at first, but I am so glad I stayed here. It was in the heart of what they call the Plazh which is the best place to be. It was a peaceful place to stay and everything I needed was less than a block away at great prices. Best of all the beach was literally across the street. The promenade was easy to access and I could walk a mile in either direction. It made for great runs every morning and strolls in the afternoon. I saw some beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The apartment was super comfortable. The couch was irresistible to relax on. The internet/wifi was good. I taught English online and never had any issues. The apartment was so bright, too! The hosts were not only pleasant, but also responsive. They were eager to help me with everything. They even offered to refresh my sheets and towels every couple weeks.

Have stayed here one week. Ilya and his wife told me how to reach their place, meet me personally, and provided all kitchen utensils I have asked (very often I have cooked by myself). Apartment very comfortable. Ilya did everything to felt me like at home; gave me suggestions about places (shops, restaurants, etc). If you plans to spent time here at winter season, in my opinion it is better to took some warm sleepwear (just in case for very cold days). Windows blinds and rolls helps make bedroom darker for excellent sleep. Few minutes to reach the sea, good supermarket Extra just around the corner, in walkable distance lots of different caffes (Pelikan my favorite), bakeries, restaurants, fresh fruits/vegetables and few fish-sale points. It takes only 10 minutes to reach Durres city center by bus (bus stop nearby, route Durres-Plepa, runs every 10-15 minutes, ticket 40 leke = 40 cents), or by taxi with price aprox. 700 leke.
