It is nice to have a gem of a host who can navigate all aspects of a guest's stay. Curvin was open, friendly, provided the right balance of check in assistance and follow up with guest privacy. He was also open to sharing some pleasant conversation. Tips on what to do in the area were appreciated. Perhaps a few tweaks in the unit with the plug in the bathroom sink needing changing and the shower head/shower doors needing refreshing. A couple cleaning supplies like dishwashing liquid so guests can wash dishes after cooking etc., sun-dried smelling towels and a refreshed mophead would be great touches. Otherwise, this was just the perfect rustic getaway I like. Nature is all around you including the woodpecker, cute family dogs and other birds chirping. Orchids grafted on to the trees are beautiful. If you want serenity, charm and a great ocean view while being near to other sites, this is the place. If you want an educated, professional and worldly host, Curvin's the one. Walk good!

My friend and I loved our short stay and would return if we get the chance. We toured around Jamaica and so didn't have long at each location so we didn't take advantage of all of Papa Curvin's hospitality. The cabin was well done with a simple but functional kitchen - hob, fridge, toaster. We didn't lack for anything. We enjoyed sitting on the cabin's porch for our breakfast surrounded by beautiful trees and then in the evening we sat on the "stardeck" and watched the sunset and the crashing waves on the rocks. The other guests and the friends we met- and of course Papa Curvin himself- were really friendly and we enjoyed the sense that there could be a family here if we wanted it. In general, I would say to future travelers to come to Jamaica and spend time with the people and make friends. We were at the end of our vacation and a bit too tired by this point! The cabin feels safe and private. It's a better home-base than the touristy Ocho Rios.

From the moment they arranged transportation to the place, to the the drive away from the property, I felt like part of a community. Each person that comes in contact with Papa Curvin and Joann is taken care of. We spent new years eve together having a beautiful dinner, listening to retro and live music. The food was delicious and our hosts were quite hospitalable. It's a great place to retreat and unplug from busy city life and immerse in to nature. They can host diverse people from the east to the west and everyone is "irie" as the locals would say. I would definitely return.

Was soll ich sagen? Noch nie so liebevolle,sympathische und offene Hosts gehabt wie Joan und Papa Curvin. Wir haben uns sehr gut aufgehoben und betreut gefühlt. Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen.
