Our apartment is 3 city blocks from New York City's famous Coney Island Beach & Boardwalk, Luna Lark (amusement park), and Maimonides Park (baseball stadium for the Brooklyn Cyclones).
Within 6 city blocks distance is the New York Aquarium and the Coney Island Amphitheater (concert venue).
There are dozens of restaurants and shops in the area. You can find all of them through your smartphone's Map Apps, but here is a list of some of the main ones:

Alternatively, for our guests we provide taxi and transportation services to/from any location in the NYC Metro area.
We also do airport transfers to/from JFK, LaGuardia and Newark Airports.
So if you need a ride anywhere, just ask your host about it!

SUBWAY:
The apartment is 2 blocks from StillWell Ave Subway Station, which is the last stop of four New York City subway lines: D, F, N, and Q.
People in New York City call the subway “the train”.
It takes 45 minutes to get to Lower Manhattan and 55 minutes to get to Times Square by “train” from the StillWell Ave subway station.
METROCARD:
You can purchase MetroCards at NYC subway stations from ticket machines. You can pay for them with cash, ATM card or credit card.
Current MetroCard prices:
Refillable cards have a one time fee of $1 on top of ride costs.
You can add multiple rides onto one Pay-Per-Ride card for $2.75 per ride. You can also refill these cards. There is a 2 ride minimum, so you need to add at least $5.50 worth of rides to these cards.
Single ride cards costs $3, but you cannot refill them or add more rides to them. This is useful if you don’t want to buy 2 rides for $5.50, just one.
There is also a 7-Day Unlimited ride card for $33, which is worth it if you ride more than 12 times within a week from the first ride.
And there is a 30-Day Unlimited ride card for $127, which is worth it if you ride more than 46 times within 30 days from the first ride.

BUS LINES IN BROOKLYN:
Bus lines close to our apartment are: B36, B64, B68, and B82.
Traveling by bus in NYC is pretty slow, as busses often stop almost at every corner or block. People mostly use busses here only to get to locations where the Subway does not take them.
If you are a tourist and mainly want to see Manhattan, you can get to all important locations in Manhattan by Subway. You don’t really need to use busses.

PARKING

We have FREE PARKING SPACE for up to 2 cars in our driveway for our guests.
Sometimes spaces might already be taken by other guests’ cars when you arrive.
If you would like to park in our driveway, contact the host before your arrival to find out if there is going to be any space available for your car when you arrive.
PARKING ON THE STREETS:
Parking on the streets is also free, but Alternate Side Parking is in effect in NYC. This means that every 3-4 days when the street cleaning vehicles come, no cars are allowed to park on one side of the street for 1.5 hours.
"NO PARKING" Street Signs show exactly when cars need to move :
NO PARKING Tuesdays & Fridays 8AM-9:30AM on the East side (where our house is)
and
NO PARKING Mondays & Thursdays 8AM-9:30AM on the West side (the opposite side).
So at these times people usually move their cars away or just double-park on the other side of the street. Some sit and wait in their cars for 1.5 hours until the cleaning vehicle passes, then move their cars back to the original parking spot.
So please, follow what the signs say if you don’t want to get a parking ticket!
The host is not responsible for any parking violation or towing fees the guests might need to pay for as a result of not following the city’s parking instructions.
