The Waldoboro Inn is an Italianate mansion built in 1880 by Captain John B. Stahl, one of the town's illustrious sea captains. The three private bedrooms in the original mansion are all en suite. The main floor has a spectacular living room, dining room and a billiards room, all of which are available to guests. All the rooms are light-filled and airy, looking out on mature perennial gardens. Everything about this building and its grounds will take you back to a quieter and gentler time. Room 3 is on the second floor of the mansion with views of the Medomak River at head of tide. The en suite bathroom has a clawfoot tub and a walk-in shower. The idea for this inn was to create an experience rather than just a place to rest your head. The scale and proportions of the rooms with their high elaborate tin ceilings and large windows makes the rooms feel quite grand and their inhabitants special.
