Waldoboro · 住宿加早餐里的独立房间 · 1室1床1.5卫 · 可住2人 · The Waldoboro Inn Room 3
The Waldoboro Inn is an Italianate mansion built in 1880 by Captain John B. Stahl, one of the town's illustrious sea captains. The three private bedrooms in the original mansion are all en suite. The main floor has a spectacular living room, dining room and a billiards room, all of which are available to guests. All the rooms are light-filled and airy, looking out on mature perennial gardens. Everything about this building and its grounds will take you back to a quieter and gentler time. Room 3 is on the second floor of the mansion with views of the Medomak River at head of tide. The en suite bathroom has a clawfoot tub and a walk-in shower. The idea for this inn was to create an experience rather than just a place to rest your head. The scale and proportions of the rooms with their high elaborate tin ceilings and large windows makes the rooms feel quite grand and their inhabitants special. All the rooms are carefully curated with contemporary art and unique furnishings designed to engage our guests. Make yourself at home in the communal kitchen preparing meals or packing picnics for the next day's adventure. Connect over a game of pool in our classic billiard's room or transport yourself to another time and place just wandering our gardens Behind the Inn, the mansion's original carriage house has been converted into a wine bar - Ida's. Showcasing natural wines from around the world alongside local beer and snacks, Ida's is the perfect place to wind-down the day or have a drink before catching a show at The Waldo Theatre next door. The Waldoboro Inn is a beautiful and inspiring space for small groups to gather while exploring the best of mid coast Maine. You can learn more about The Waldoboro Inn from our website.
Super cute place that I booked last minute traveling through the area. Loved Ida's wine bar in the living room in the evening.
Beautifully restored inn with an eclectic mix of vintage and modern furnishings. Fully equipped kitchen for making breakfast or heating leftovers. Great communication with the host. Be aware that there is not parking lot, but guests can park overnight at the library a few doors away.
What a nice, quaint and cozy atmosphere they've managed to create at Nathan's home ! We loved our stay and our hosts were super friendly and helpful.
This place is even more lovely than we had anticipated. The place is feels historically modern if that makes sense. Clean, comfortable room with lovely grounds and a sweet billiard room. The location is walkable to local shops and restaurants. We plan to come back and see a concert here and stay a little longer to really get to know the place. Communication was easy and responsive with check in and out being intuitive and efficient. Great place, great location, great host, great amenities.
Waldoboro is an early 19th century shipbuilding town on the coast of Maine, home of the five-masted schooner. Main Street (Old rt. 1) is just south of the busier highway that ferries people up and down the coast during the summer. Tree-lined, with some beautiful examples of grand Victorian houses, Main Street is evocative of a different time and sensibility. The Inn, formally a sea captain's house was transformed by his son into a tavern and an inn in the early 20th century and then reverted back to a private residence in 1970. Given its size and historical importance, we decided to return it to its life as an inn and renamed it - The Waldoboro Inn, while paying homage to Ida, the last innkeeper, by naming the wine bar after her. Located on Main St, we are walking distance to Perch Cafe, The Narrows Tavern and the Medomak River. We are a short drive to Odd Alewives Brewing, Tops'l Farm and the Maine classic - Moodys Diner. We are right next door to The Waldo Theatre, now a venue for some of the best entertainment on the coast of Maine.
