The McCauley neighbourhood in central Edmonton is home to some of the city’s most culturally diverse districts. The east downtown neighbourhood connects Chinatown – the third largest in Canada – with Little Italy. It is also home to Commonwealth Stadium, where the Edmonton Elks play. One of the most walkable neighbourhoods in Edmonton, McCauley is surrounded amenities like the colourful Chinatown markets and Giovanni Caboto Park, which are often hosting events. It’s one of the oldest neighbourhoods in the city, but more recent revitalization has brought newer development to mix with some of the historic buildings.

This is one of the most walkable neighbourhoods in Edmonton. In addition, it’s surrounded by bus stops, connected to an arterial bike trail, and a ten minute walk from both the Commonwealth train station and the River Valley trail system, which is great for biking and jogging. As a bonus, you’ll find e-scooters and e-bikes to rent all over the area.
Street parking is available depending on whether there’s a major event at Commonwealth Stadium, but there’s also alley parking.
