My husband and I stayed one night at Darren’s tiny home. We chose this quaint tiny home for the experience while celebrating my husband’s graduation from NC State. I should also note my review is influenced by the fact I am 7 months pregnant. Pros: Privacy as described Easy check-in Responsive host Proximity to points of interest in Raleigh Cons: Loud condensing unit outside sounds like a helicopter circling. Mini split that is described in listing as “efficiently cools the tiny home” was not operable and blew only hot air. It was 77 degrees inside tiny home when returned from graduation festivities. The only recourse was to climb narrow stairs to the loft, crawl to the bed, and sleep by a portable ac unit which was very difficult for me being pregnant. Darren acknowledged that he knew the mini split did not work in a private message and advised that was why there were two smaller units in the loft. Listing needs updated to reflect this. Money did not equal value.

Darren and Rebecca were very responsive, accommodating, and friendly from the time I first inquired about the listing until the day we checked out. They made it easy to find and enter the premises. Everything was as described and homey. A full-size refrigerator in a tiny house is a plus. We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit in the evening, and the place was quiet and peaceful, away from the busy road, so we got a good night's sleep both nights without disturbance.

Great space to get away. The owners communicated well and helped us have a great time. The space was comfortable for me and my family.
