Gringley on the Hill · 整套民居 · 1室1床1.0卫 · 可住2人 · Holly Cottage
We hope that you will enjoy your stay in this unique cottage with stunning views and spacious layout for 2. Holly cottage has under floor heating throughout which is powered by a ground source heat pump ,hence no carbon monoxide alarm is required. Holly Cottage was built in 2015 but our main house was built in the 1880s. We feel the character of the cottage compliments the main house. Gringley is a fabulous place to walk and explore, the pub is only 300 yards away.
This is one of the loveliest places I've found through Airbnb. Such a stunning view and so peaceful, bunnies hopping about at the bottom of the garden, lots of birds and the wide open sky. Very comfortable cottage, had everything we needed for our short stay, Kate said a friendly hello but wasn't at all intrusive. We're already thinking of reasons to go back!
Kate’s place is fab! Every detail inside and out is beautiful. Kate went above and beyond with welcome instructions and details of how to find and then get into the property. Lovely little welcome bits in the place once inside, incredibly responsive and flexible, and in lovely location! Would definitely recommend and would love to come back soon, thank you Kate.
Thank you for allowing us to stay at your beautiful and peaceful cottage. Your attention to detail and little touches made us feel at home and it's clear that you prioritise guest comfort and hospitality. The welcome gift and complimentary refreshments were excellent and we loved the home made granola! We slept really well and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was excellent too. It was also lovely to wake up to bird song and enjoy breakfast looking over the garden and open views.

The Blue Bell Pub at Gringley on the Hill offers food and real ale. Gringley's a quiet rural location with no shop and limited public transport but it does have lots of country side walks -some of which take in the picturesque Chesterfield Canal. On Fridays between 1.30 and 4.30 we have a pop up Post Office in our community Centre which is just a short walk from Holly Cottage. We are only a few minutes drive from the 'Cow Shack' which makes homemade Jersey ice cream, the pretty Jersey cows graze locally.
