Clean, private bungalow in a quiet neighborhood minutes from downtown Santa Cruz and Mid-Town. Clean, light-filled space with greenery in every window,. well-equipped kitchen. Perfect for a working getaway. It's become a favorite of ours. We'll be back next year.
We enjoyed our month at Elizabeth's cottage. Her place is light and airy with a very pleasant sense of design. It's very well-equipped for long-term stays—plenty of pots, pans aznd utensils, a washer and dryyer, two desks, good wifi and cell service. Elixzabeth is very responsive if you have a question. Most of the windows are well-screened with foliage, so I could look out at roses and lemons from my desk. There's lots of parking, and it's centrally located and just minutes from downtown. We're planning to return next year.
Beautiful cozy little cottage, immaculately clean. Everything was available that we could possibly need, and arranged in a colorful and aesthetically pleasing way. The garden made us feel that we were in a fairytale setting, and we enjoyed having our coffee and happy hours there. The location was perfect, easy parking yet within a mile of downtown. Elizabeth was very accommodating, lending us beach chairs to use. The check in was easy, all done over the internet with a door code given on the day of occupation. This was my absolute favorite Airbnb, and I have rented many since 2015. All of the cozy touches were very appreciated. The bedding and towels were so pretty, all in a beach and/or botanical print. I hope to stay here in the future, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here.
Probably the best Airbnb that I have stayed in so far. We stayed at Elizabeth’s bungalow for multiple months and had a great time. Elizabeth was not only very helpful and easy to reach in case of questions, but we also experienced her to be a very kind person and appreciate it very much that we had the chance to meet her. A highlight for us was the garden that surrounds the bungalow. It was common that we could watch hummingbirds right outside the windows. Looking up from the desk you see a lemon tree, looking up from the kitchen sink there is a huge fern outside, and the entire garden with its seating area in front of the bungalow was just gorgeously full of blooming plants like roses and hibiscus. The bungalow itself is spacious enough to live in together comfortably with two people (separate room with washer/dryer, desk area, two bedrooms) and has everything that we needed to feel at home. This is a very quiet area overall, especially at night: there is obviously the occasional pick-up truck that drives down the street at daytime, but this is a residential neighborhood with little traffic. The wooden floors give the place a warm atmosphere. We found plenty of closet and drawer space for our cloths. The beds are very comfortable. The high-quality fridge and an abundance of available cooking and baking pans made it very enjoyable to prepare a dinner or bake a cake. Be it the painting of a Koi fish in the living room area or the piece of art showing the close-by Natural Bridges park: it just felt like a very well designed place throughout our stay. Summary: A place to feel at home, a very friendly and kind host (friendly next-door neighbors too), and obviously located in close proximity to all the great outdoor activities that Santa Cruz has to offer (e.g., by car 15 minutes to Wilder Ranch, 8 minutes to Seabright Beach, 15 minutes to giant redwood trees). We would love to come back one day.
This bungalow is an excellent offering. Good price, good location, an owner who pays attention to the house and the guests who stay there. The lack of a dishwasher is not a noticeable drawback for many of us. All other amenities are there and/or very nearby for a comfortable stay. Good, fast internet service. Easy access to UCSC, Hwys ! & 17, and not far from the beach. Pleasant garden. Highly recommend it.
Middle of the road custom houses. Grant st can get busier at certain hours but is quiet most of the time. Neighbors know each other. I will give you info about parking. Plenty of parking.
Plenty of parking. Near bus stop (ab 3 min walk). About a 30 min walk downtown, or 15 min walk to small shopping center (Ross, eateries such as Chipotle). Nearby is a nice walk (although short) along Branciforte Creek.
