Convenient location with a large room, and large bed, smell from the restaurant from downstairs was strong at times, and street noisy Ciel is a lovely person, attentive and around when needed

Sad to leave a bad review as host was great and friendly. However, misleading advertisement. Front 2 gates are a bit sketchy. Room is not inside a flat, but a building above a restaurant whose smell bypass the walls. This information wasn’t included in the listing. Shower is locate in the corridor, next to the stairs of the building. Even thought there’s a locker in the shower, the door doesn’t close all the way, there’s a gab if someone pass by the stairs, they can see a you showering. Again, this wasn’t mention beforehand. The room doesn’t lock with a key, you just close the door and once the door is closed there’s a big gab on top around the frame of the door. Felt unsafe, especially when 2 old drunk dudes who leave next door, were drinking and shouting on the corridor. Location very central but noisy. Overall, as a women didn’t feel safe sleeping there at all, so I ended up staying elsewhere

Ciel is an excellent host and the review as nothing to do with him as a host. My work colleague has only stayed for the 1 night ( we booked 5 nights) as it was horrendous, the guy living in next door was partying with friends till 04:00 so he couldn’t sleep at all night. His clothes were stinking form the Chinese restaurant downstairs, as were the bedsheets. Best location in Brighton 3 mins from the sea.

J'ai adoré mon séjour! Grande chambre et pièces communes propres et pratiques. Hôtes réceptifs et accueillants. La localisation ne pourrait pas être meilleure! À distance de marche de tout les plus beaux endroits, bars, restaurants, commerces et de la plage! J'y retournerai certainement :)
