Hibiscus House is the entire upstairs of this lovely Caribbean home and features 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, full kitchen, wrap-around covered deck overlooking the ocean and open living/dining room. LIVING/DINING AREA The open concept living area invites you to relax with plenty of comfortable seating around a large ottoman. One of the sofas includes a queen-size hideabed for those traveling with kiddos. A 65” flat screen smart Roku tv with cable offers a selection of your favorite shows in English or Spanish and you can connect your own entertainment apps like Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, etc. The entertainment center stores a selection of DVDs, books, as well as board and card games. It also houses an electric fireplace (with or without heat) so you can create the perfect ambiance. Free Wi-Fi throughout the home keeps you connected with the outside world (if you wish) and a bluetooth speaker allows you to play your favorite playlist right from your phone or tablet. There is also a corner desk with computer monitor provided for those who want/need to work. A large wooden dining table with chairs and a bench offer plenty of seating for meals or games. This home was designed to bring the outside in and incorporates views of the Caribbean Sea right into the living space with sliding glass doors that invite you out onto a wrap-around covered deck highlighting amazing ocean views and warm tropical breezes. KITCHEN Open to the living/dining area, the kitchen has everything you will need including a gas stove/oven, microwave, 4-slice toaster, Cuisinart coffee maker, blender and a Kitchenaid mixer. Stainless cookware, a wide selection of high-end pots, pans, and kitchen utensils make it easy to cook a meal. There are plenty of plates, bowls, cups, glasses, silverware, and serving pieces to suit your needs. Eat a quick meal at the breakfast bar which includes modern comfortable bar stools. BEDROOM 1 Decorated in shades of purple and teal, this bedroom has a California king bed with medium-firm memory foam mattress, air conditioning, 43” smart tv, ceiling fan, personal nightstands, and upscale linens. There is also an armoire, custom made from Honduran Santa Maria hardwood and large enough for all your clothes with built-in cubbies to corral your shoes. A sliding glass door leads to your own private covered oceanfront deck furnished with cushioned lounge furniture. An en-suite bathroom features double glass vessel sinks, extra large towels, and a large walk-in shower with shampoo, conditioner and bodywash. BEDROOM 2 This bedroom is decorated in the Caribbean colors of fuschia and ocean blue and has a California king bed with medium-firm memory foam mattress, air conditioning, ceiling fan, personal nightstands, and upscale linens. Like the other bedroom, there is also an armoire, custom made from Honduran Santa Maria hardwood and large enough for all your clothes with built-in cubbies to corral your shoes. A sliding glass door leads to your own private covered oceanfront deck furnished with cushioned lounge furniture. The bathroom is just outside the door and features a glass vessel sink, extra large towels, and a large walk-in shower with shampoo, conditioner and bodywash. OUTDOOR LIVING The covered wraparound deck offers a private space directly outside of each bedroom, but flows together for maximum flexibility. There is plenty of comfortable seating in the cushioned lounge furniture on each side and a large round wooden table and chairs for outdoor dining. A 6-burner propane BBQ grill with a side burner offers additional cooking options. Relax with that special someone in the double hammock on the deck, which is the perfect location for a nap by the sea. NEED EXTRA SPACE? In addition , one of the best snorkeling sites on the island is a short walk away, plus you can stop at The Pointe on the way back for lunch and a cool drink. Large fluffy beach towels are provided for your convenience. LOCATION Hibiscus House is located at the east end of the island along Dolphin Run - part of the prestigious Tradewinds community. The town of Utila is easily accessible by a 15-minute walk, but far enough away to enjoy serenity and privacy. There are plenty of tuk tuk drivers (Utila’s Taxis) - many of whom speak English - and the ride to town is only a few dollars. You can practice your Spanish while supporting a local entrepreneur.
